3 Doors Down singer-songwriter Brad Arnold told LAUNCH about the tour. "Some of the troops we are going over there have been there for a while and are on their way home and it'll kind of be a party stop for them on the way home," he said. "And a lot of the guys are right in the midst of doing whatever they're doing. And so we'll just give them a little break and let them relax a little while."
Troops stationed overseas just may be among the few who get to hear a new track that will not appear on 3 Doors Down's November 12 release, Away From The Sun. Arnold told LAUNCH about the highly sensitive track. "It's called, 'Not Be Forgotten,' and it's sort of about 9/11. But it's not really crying about it. It's more of, like, revenge. That's how the song came about, but we didn't want to put it on the record in the States and have somebody take a gross misinterpretation of the song and go out and do something to somebody and us have blood on our hands," he said.
"When I'm Gone," the first single from Away From The Sun, was the most-added track on Modern Rock radio last week. The band has only one confirmed tour date for the U.S., at Jacksonville, North Carolina's New River Amphitheater on November 2. More dates will be announced shortly.
