A native of Colombia, Latin-jazz guitarist Juan Carlos Quintero released two albums on Nova (a self-titled debut and Through the Winds), recorded with composer/arranger Todd Cochran, pianist Otmaro Ruiz and percussionists Munyungo Jackson and Walfredo Reyes.
