George (Accidentally) Saves Ben’s Butt
Hollywood’s a pretty small world, which means you’re bound to bump into your ex now and then, and that awkward situation looked like it was about to unfold for Ben Affleck and former fiancée Jennifer Lopez before the show began.
As Affleck and wife Jennifer Garner were going through security, J.Lo was finishing up an interview with “Entertainment Tonight” a few feet away. Just as Jen and Ben were approaching, Affleck’s pal George Clooney grabbed Lopez, told her she looked great, and escorted her over to meet his main squeeze, Stacy Keibler. Though we don’t think Clooney realized how perfect his timing was, Ben still probably owes him a thank you.
Girls Gone Wild … Over Wahlberg
The Hollywood Foreign Press is known for having some eccentric characters, but a gaggle of older female members hailing from Germany got downright crazy before the show, going gaga over the sight of none other than Mark Wahlberg. The shrieking women got grabby with Marky Mark, who – by the look on his face – was too shocked to stop them. And, in case you’re wondering, Wahlberg has lost much of the bulk he put on the for the upcoming “Pain and Gain,” leaving him lean, mean … and ready for the squeezing.

Brits in the Bathroom
Daniel Craig may play a dapper James Bond on the big screen, but the actor could use a few lessons in bathroom behavior. After Craig dropped a bunch of hand towels on the floor of the men’s room … he didn’t bother to pick them up. Does Rachel Weisz let that slide at home? We doubt it! Meanwhile, fellow Englishman, “Sherlock” star Benedict Cumberbatch, spent 10 minutes camped out in front of the mirror. Give someone else a turn, Benedict. You’re in a building filled with movie stars.

Connie Britton, Julianna Margulies, and Eva Longoria not only spent the evening chit-chatting as a clique, but they weren’t afraid to step up and get some much-needed nourishment during the show. The three beauties were spotted mobbing the crudite platter all together. Raw is the rage, after all!
