Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are best friends, co-hosts and Globes rivals

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have faced off in numerous awards battles in the last few years, but this Golden Globes adds a different layer to their friendly rivalry -- they're both nominated as Best Actress in a Comedy and co-hosting the ceremony! Which raises the important question: What will the comedy duo get up to when their category is presented?

Fey and Poehler have a long history of working together, from their days anchoring "Weekend Update" on "Saturday Night Live" to starring in hit movies "Mean Girls" and "Baby Mama." In October, they auctioned off a night of their friendship and raised $46,000 for an autism charity.

The news that they'd be headlining January's Golden Globes was met with glee by pretty much everybody ever. Poehler herself has been the instigator of recent awards hijinks; at September's Emmys, she and winner Julia Louis-Dreyfus did a bit involving switched acceptance speeches.

Fey's won twice, while Poehler has yet to receive the (much-deserved) honor. They faced off in the same Golden Globes category last year, though Laura Dern ended up winning for "Enlightened." This year, Lena Dunham of "Girls" could walk away with the trophy; the Hollywood Foreign Press loves to crown new darlings.

Still, we can likely expect something to happen when their category comes up. Will there be a faux-awkward moment between the BFFs? Maybe they'll team up with the other nominees for a taped bit, like at the Emmys?

We'll have to wait until Jan. 13 to find out!
