  • Photo: Brendon ThorneThe video for Chris Brown's new single, "Don't Think They Know," features an unlikely star – a hologram of late singer Aaliyah. The highly stylized clip shows Brown as a member in two different gangs –presumably the Bloods and the Crips – and dancing flanked by Aaliyah holograms.

Throughout the video for the mid-tempo jam, Brown rides around the streets of Los Angeles with his fellow "gang members," and at the end of the video he appears to bring both sides together and sings surrounded by school children.

The heavy-handed clip begins with the words: "Every two hours in America today a child dies of a gunshot wound." It then continues with a quote from Brown himself: "Unity is what we are afraid of so fear is insanity, lets love each other." The quote is attributed to "Not CB, just Christopher."

  • Did he or didn't he? That is the question. Lil Wayne took to Twitter early this morning to say that he didn't step on the American flag on purpose while shooting his latest video, "God Bless Amerika," but not everyone is buying it.

If you take a look at some of the lyrics to the song Weezy was performing, it only adds fuel to the fire. Wayne raps, "My country 'tis of thee / sweet land of kill 'em all and let 'em die / God bless Amerika / This so godless Amerika…the stars on the flag are never shining."

If you watch the clip from "God Bless Amerika," you can see — as Weezy maintains — that the flag was set up behind Wayne and it dropped to the ground as it performs. Weezy keeps doing his thing and sometimes appears to look down at the flag below his feet, but it doesn't appear that he's

  • Will Adam Levine's prediction that Danielle will win come true?Monday night on "The Voice," on the final competitive episode of Season 4, Team Blake's country contenders Danielle Bradbery and the Swon Brothers faced off against Team Usher's quirky girl Michelle Chamuel. Each of the contestants did three songs: one new number, one reprise of a "defining moment" from earlier in the season, and one duet with his/her/their coach. And by the end of the night, it was looking like Blake Shelton was on his way to a third consecutive "Voice" victory, thanks to his golden child/chosen one, Danielle. Even Adam Levine predicted Danielle would win.

How exciting could one weekend be for music fans?

The world-famous “Bonnaroo” took place—an exciting pop festival in the tradition of Woodstock, only held many years later for those who missed it! It rained, there was mud, it cost money, it was streamed online!

Then lovable rap star Kanye West and his affable soulmate Kim Kardashian—who’s apparently quite popular!—unexpectedly gave birth to a baby girl! Who even knew she was pregnant?

Finally, charismatic rapper Jay-Z, long thought to be living in poverty in a Thai monastery, announced his new album would be available for free to all users of the Samsung Galaxy Smartphone! Who even knew they made smartphones?

As a result, everybody stopped talking about Kanye and his new baby!

Heck, I thought they were pals!

Empire Of The Sun: Ice On The Dune (Astralwerks) Every year there is typically one album that announces itself as maybe the year’s best purely because you simply can’t stop playing it! So it is with the latest from Australia’s

  • "The Voice" Season 4 finale is this week, and as usual, NBC has a pretty impressive slew of talent lined up. Earlier today, it was announced that Hunter Hayes and OneRepublic will be two contestants' duet partners, and now Yahoo!'s Reality Rocks can exclusively reveal that reclusive rock legend Bob Seger will also be dueting on Tuesday's big show.

It's no shocker that heartland country-rockers the Swon Brothers, whose recent stellar cover of Bob's "Turn the Page" help propel them to the finale, are singing with Seger. As for the other two duets, Hunter will surely be the perfect match for country-pop teen Danielle Bradbery, while pop-rocker Michelle Chamuel will surely hold her own alongside Ryan Tedder and company.

While the specific song that the Swons and Seger will be performing is still secret (my vote is for "Night Moves"; just putting that out there), it is known that Hunter and Danielle will duet on "I Want Crazy," and OneRepublic and Michelle will be doing "Counting Stars."

  • The Sledge Grits Band - Ella, Keiko, Mimi and bo-Pah Sledge.

The music business is desperately in need of more teen acts that can actually play and write their own music, and the sister quartet The Sledge Grits Band perfectly fits the bill.

The pop rock group from Littlerock, California is a favorite on the “Next Great Family Band” competition reality show on NBC Network COZI TV. They’ve been praised by all of the judges.

Judge Samantha Maloney, a drummer who has played with Hole, Motley Crue, and the Eagles of Death Metal, took a special liking to the group’s 11-year-old percussionist, bo-Pah Sledge. “I’m kinda obsessed with her,” she said. “I wish I was that good as young as she is.”

  • Carrie Underwood, Framed

There's no higher virtue than patriotism, and no musician as patriotic as Carrie Underwood, the country songstress who's gone way past American Idol and is now a bona fide superstar. Many of her vids, including this one, feature tributes to those who serve.

And, as far as superstardom credentials go, three of her four albums have hit #1 in Billboard; the fourth "only" made it to #2.

In this week's video, a Vevo premier called "See You Again," Carrie sings about loss -- specifically, the loss of a loved one. She pays tribute to the military, of course, and also to the victims of Sandy Hook and the recent Oklahoma tornadoes. (Carrie was born and raised in Oklahoma.) Ms. Underwood, who by all accounts is a devout Christian, believes that we'll all see our loved ones after our time here on Earth.

Can it be true? Only you, our valued readers can decide! Please feel free to post: life after death? Or make me laugh?

  • Britney Spears and sons (Photo: Jon SooHoo)It was just last month we told you Britney Spears was doing the smurf with a new track, "Ooh La La," for The Smurfs 2 soundtrack. Now, Brit has gone one step further and enlisted her boys — 7-year-old Sean Preston and 6-year-old Jayden — to appear in the video.

In a recent interview with radio personality Ryan Seacrest, Spears revealed that her sons are the reason why she got involved in the Smurfs project. "They're obsessed with the Smurfs," she said. "We've seen The Smurfs movie a million trillion times and they were told they could be in the video and all this cool stuff, so that's the reason why I did it."

And Spears, ever-the-proud mama, was happy to report her boys did a good job. "They were actually really, really good on set," she said. "They were, like, acting and my oldest son Preston was right on cue every time they would tell him to do something."

James Gandolfini, who won three Emmy Awards for his indelible role as mob boss Tony Soprano in HBO's "The Sopranos," died while on vacation in Italy at age 51. While Tony Soprano was a larger-than-life figure, Gandolfini was exceptionally modest and obsessive — he described himself as "a 260-pound Woody Allen." HBO called the actor a "special man, a great talent, but more importantly a gentle and loving person who treated everyone, no matter their title or position, with equal respect."
