Some of the contestants still kept cool under the pressure, so to speak, and they delivered fantastic performances. But others were really really sweatin' it out, in more ways than one.

Yoko Ono Gives Peace With Paul McCartney a Chance

(Kevin Mazur, WireImage)Yoko Ono has praised Paul McCartney for coming clean last October and publicly stating that she wasn't the cause of the Beatles' split.
In an interview on BBC Radio 4's Woman's Hour, John Lennon's widow said, "He was very sweet to say that, and he probably needed closure to say that. That's why he couldn't say that until now. He knew me--we knew each other for 30, 40 years or something--but there was no way to say anything like that because people just liked the idea that we were fighting like crazy in a boxing ring."

Dakota BradleyCountry newcomer Dakota Bradley may have the perfect pedigree for Nashville success--he's just 18 years old and already has an insanely catchy debut single co-produced by none less than Tim McGraw--but this is one musician who learned his chops in a totally different genre."When I was 12, I picked up my first guitar," Bradley explains. The first song he learned how to play? "Stranglehold, by Ted Nugent."
Bradley's breakout single "Somethin' Like Somethin'" doesn't sound a whole lot like the Motor City Madman. In fact, the summery, upbeat tune sounds like something McGraw himself might record. But just so you know where this kid's roots lie…!

George Strait (photo: Ethan Miller)George Strait may have set the country music world reeling last September when he announced he'd be retiring from the road. However, he did assure fans that he was by no means retiring from the recording studio--and he's made good on that promise with his new album, Love Is Everything.Although this marks his 40th (!) studio full-length, Strait insists that he's still out to create the very best album of his life every time he steps into the studio.

Who will prevail? [photo Michael Becker/Fox]This week, Candice Glover and Kree Harrison will square off in the "American Idol" Season 12 finale, and this may be the closest "Idol" race since Ruben vs. Clay a decade ago. Both girls are very strong but very different singers, and while song selection (particularly when it comes to the coronation songs) might sway on-the-fence voters and affect this Thursday's verdict, it's likely that pre-existing loyal fanbases and musical-genre affiliations will ultimately determine this year's champion.

- 'Iron Man 3' races past $1 billion dollar mark on monster foreign take
By Todd Cunningham LOS ANGELES (TheWrap.com) - "Iron Man 3" was soaring past $1 billion at the worldwide box office Thursday, in a display of world domination that would make one of Marvel's super villains proud. The box-office bounty - roughly $700 million from abroad and $300 million domestically - is a major triumph for Disney, which bet big on comic book superheroes when it bought Marvel Studios for $4 billion in 2009. And its decision to bring aboard a Chinese partner for "Iron Man 3" and focus the Disney marketing machine on the booming foreign market looks pretty good right now, too. ...
