I've previously looked at the albums of 1993, but now it's time to look through the most successful singles of the year, which include plenty of songs that got their start in 1992 but truly flourished the following year. That's just how things work.

1993 was also a year where we said goodbye to Frank Zappa, GG Allin, Mick Ronson, Sun Ra and Arthur Alexander, who'd just gotten around to making his first record since forever.

But let's get the party started with the songs that the Billboard magazine says were popular with the people.

25) Two Steps Behind -- Def Leppard: From their Retro Active album of mostly b-sides and leftovers, the song was more importantly featured on the Last Action Hero soundtrack and everyone knows that's the way to get people to know your song, since what the hell is a radio, right?

(Photo: Tony Barson)It may have been Joel Madden who was busted for having pot in his Sydney, Australia hotel room, but it was his buddy Seal who went on a Twitter rant about it.

The British singer took to social media on Tuesday to defend his fellow The Voice Australia coach after police were called to Madden's hotel and found a small amount of marijuana.

While Madden was nothing but polite when discussing the incident and said on Tumblr, "Sydney is my adopted home and I appreciate the way the NSW police handled the situation. They have informed me there will be no charges. I hope this didn't cause too much drama for anyone," Seal expressed very different sentiments.

The "Kiss From A Rose" singer, who was once married to model Heidi Klum, defended Madden and touted his charity work, and then proceeded to lash out at what he calls "trash media." But no sooner did he rant than he thought better of it and deleted all but the following tweet:

Lady Antebellum have been enjoying the spunkiest and sauciest hit of their career with the chart-topping single "Downtown," even as the videos and promotional appearances for it feature Hillary Scott looking ever-so-more pregnant. As the band takes the stage for an exclusive Yahoo! Music performance, the average viewer might not notice Scott's expectancy all that much, thanks to the miracles of slimming black.

Still, there is that moment when Scott pleads "I don't know why you don't take me downtown anymore" that you might imagine her partner's response reasonably being, "Um, because your water might break?"

Even with the blessed event being just weeks away — Scott's baby girl, her first, is due in late July — the trio haven't lost a step, and if anything, have been compressing about six months' worth of the usual album promotion into roughly half that time.

"I can probably speak for everybody on our team and say it’s easier to promote a record when someone’s not pregnant," Scott says.

Last night, "The Voice's" final three were revealed, and with Team Usher's awesome outlier Michelle Chamuel still in the running (along with Team Blake's country contestants, Danielle Bradbery and the Swon Brothers), the results were cause for celebration, for sure.

Queens of the Stone Age’s sixth studio album…,Like Clockwork, enters The Billboard 200 at #1. But it won’t be there for long. Black Sabbath is expected to debut at #1 next week with 13. That would be the first #1 for Black Sabbath (and/or for its star member, Ozzy Osbourne) in a chart career that dates back to 1970.

This is Queens of the Stone Age’s fourth studio album in a row to reach the top 20, but its first to rise above #5. The band first charted in 2002. The new album features guest turns by Elton John, Trent Reznor, Dave Grohl and Jake Shear of Scissor Sisters. The album sold 40K digital copies (out of 91K total), which enables it to also debut at #1 on Top Digital Albums.
