While Fred Armisen hasn't officially announced his "Saturday Night Live" departure after 11 seasons, his last skit on this weekend's "SNL" finale certainly seemed like the most rock 'n' roll "SNL" goodbye ever. Yes, even more than that time Mick Jagger serenaded the exiting Kristen Wiig on "SNL" last year.

This past Thursday, the night that Candice Glover was crowned the new "American Idol" winner, another, almost equally headline-worthy announcement was made: Her debut album already has a title, cover art, and a firm release date. A release date about four months earlier than the ones previous "Idol" winners got.1986: Billboard’s Year-End Hot 100 Singles
By Robert of the Radish | The Y! Music Playlist Blog – Sat, May 18, 2013 12:10 PM EDT
Every year, Billboard creates a "Year-End Hot 100 Singles" chart. However, Billboard does not use a normal calendar when they compile the list. Instead, they start from the first week of December and run through the final week in November. They do this so they can include the chart in their year-end issue. The chart is calculated by looking at data from Nielsen SoundScan. Namely, sales and airplay. So the more a song sells and the more it's played during the time frame set by Billboard, the higher it will rank. For this playlist I've compiled all of the available songs that made Billboard's Year-End Hot 00 list. Luckily, the vast majority of them are available on Spotify, but a few of them are missing.
There was a lot of great music made during the 1980s, but it's my opinion that not much of it is represented here. This list is a relatively mellow one, jammed packed with love songs and shmaltz. But that's not to say there's not some great songs to be found here.
And if you were coming of age in 1986 as I was, this playlist's nostalgic value is immeasurable.

Kanye West Complains of Modern Day Slavery in ‘New Slaves’ Song and Video
By Billy Johnson, Jr. | Hip-Hop Media Training – Sat, May 18, 2013 10:11 AM EDT
(YouTube)Kanye West’s video “New Slaves” was released Friday night as if it were a neighborhood evacuation announcement.
The 4-minute clip was projected onto the side of 66 buildings across the globe in key locations including the Chanel Boutique on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, Northwestern University in Chicago, and Bondi Junction in Sydney, among others.
Kanye broke the news via Twitter.
But possibly more surprising is the video's stripped-down nature and the song’s controversial message.

Reality Rocks headed to the "American Idol" Season 12 finale this Thursday, where I caught up with a random assortment of past and present Idols on the red carpet, from Season 5 winner Taylor Hicks to some of this year's colorful contestants, as well as fan favorites from Seasons 6 (Blake Lewis), 8 (Gokey, MacIntyre), and 10 (the dream team of Haley and Casey). Then backstage after the big reveal, judges Nicki Minaj and Keith Urban, new winner Candice Glover, and runner-up Kree Harrison all stopped by to talk to the press.

Music offices this week when she joined The Aftermath to talk hot music news topics, the BET Awards nominations, Kelly Rowland’s confessional “Dirty Laundry,” and Dr. Dre’s surprisingly large charitable donation to USC.
The Lil Kim protégé had fun when making projections on four of the BET Awards’ big categories, best collaboration, best male hip hop artist, best female hip hop artist and best new artist. The St. Louis rapper could not resist nominating herself as a write-in candidate in a few areas. “I’ll be taking them all home next year,” she said.

Photo: Jamie McCarthyAfter much gossip, speculation, and chatter – this month's biggest entertainment rumor appears to be true: Beyoncé is, indeed, expecting her second child. The happy news was broken by E!, who claim multiple sources confirmed the pregnancy. Dad, of course, is hip-hop mogul Jay-Z, whom Beyoncé married in 2008. The new arrival will join big sister Blue Ivy, who celebrated her first birthday in January.
Discussion of Beyoncé's possible condition began recently when the singer's fans began speculating about a visible "baby bump" onstage during her 2013 Mrs. Carter tour stops.
