Amy Winehouse Foundation Delayed for Ridiculous Reason

Amy Winehouse's father, Mitch, tells the BBC kind-hearted people are flooding the Amy Winehouse Foundation with donations. But there is a problem: There is not yet an Amy Winehouse Foundation.

The main obstacle seems to be that somebody else has claimed the name "The Amy Winehouse Foundation," which is one dumb reason for delaying the launch of a charitable organization that was originally imagined as a substance-abuse support center but Winehouse now describes as a place that will "help all children in need." According to the Daily Mail, the foundation will also focus on horses because the singer was passionate about them.

"Somebody else pinched it off of us before we could get it registered," Winehouse said of the group's name (well, that'll let donors know this is a totally legit operation). "All these donations which are coming in -- we don't know what to do with them at the moment." Might we recommend giving them to somebody more responsible than Mitch Winehouse for the time being?
