Just hours after it was announced that the much-loathed band would perform midway through the Lions' battle with the Packers, Motor City denizens have already drawn up a petition protesting Nickelback's presence. Detroit is the town that's responsible for Kid Rock -- and a lot of good music, like Motown, Eminem, and White Stripes -- and even they recognize how terrible Nickelback is. At press time, the petition has collected over 4,000 "signatures," and that number is quickly ballooning.

The Amp is just as surprised as you are that this case was still in the legal system: A U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled today that CBS does not have to fork over $550,000 for Janet Jackson's infamous indecent exposure during the Super Bowl XXXVIII halftime show. The case has jumped from Court of Appeals to the Supreme Court and back again since 2004 as the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) attempted to make CBS pay for exposing hundreds of millions of people to a fleeting glimpse of Jackson's right breast. Today, however, the sage has (maybe) come to an end as this court decided the FCC acted "arbitrarily and capriciously" by levying such a large fine against the network, Reuters reports.

Justin Bieber has had it pretty easy in his young career. Other than outrunning packs of screaming teenage girls and deciding when is too early to release a Christmas album, the 17-year-old singer hasn't faced many challenges in his rise to the top of the music world. That could be about to change: A woman named Mariah Yeater is claiming that Bieber is the father of her 3-month-old baby boy. Yeater filed legal paperwork demanding that Justin take a paternity test to "scientifically confirm" that he is the father, Radar Online reports, and that she's seeking "adequate support for my baby." It's about to get all Maury Povich up in here.

Yeater said in a signed affidavit that she met the singer backstage after Bieber's October 25th, 2010 concert at Los Angeles' Staples Center. A security guard allegedly saw Yeater in the crowd and asked if she'd like to meet Justin. "Immediately, it was obvious that we were mutually attracted to one another, and we began to kiss," Yeater told Star
