  • Some rappers get the biopic treatment, some rappers get a street named after them, and some rappers even get inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Lil Wayne, however, has been bestowed with a much more nefarious honor.

Police in Newark, New Jersey, recently confiscated 500 bricks of black tar heroin in a bust, and the branding on the drugs gave them quite a surprise. As Death and Taxes points out, like any good marketing agency, drug dealers often brand their product with a catchy and enticing moniker to score name-brand recognition on the streets. So when police made the bust in Newark, they found themselves in possession of 500 bricks of "Lil Wayne," which had a street value of, to paraphrase Weezy, a quarter of "a milli."

Thankfully for Wayne, merely being the inspiration behind a stash of heroin is not a violation of his parole. If it were, Lady Gaga would probably be in trouble too: Last April, Syracuse police found 400 bags of heroin emblazoned with the name "Lady Gaga"

  • Who's Number One: Taylor Swift's "Speak Now" is spending its fifth week at the head of Billboard's Top 100, according to Nielsen SoundScan. It is not, however, tossing its head back and laughing the carefree chuckle of an album that was still remarkably moving a quarter-million discs after two months in stores. The Christmas high has officially worn off, and "Speak Now," which sold 276,000 copies last week subtracted an entire column of digits from its total this week: 77,000. Welcome back to reality, folks!

Why? The bootleg Santas have officially left the mall. And evidently, not everyone loves Taylor Swift as much as her record sales indicate.

This Is Especially Bad News For: Anyone whose recent albums were comprised predominantly of holiday-themed music -- albums titled "The Gift" and "O Holy Night," for example. Susan Boyle plummeted from Number Two to 31 in a painful 92 percent drop, Jackie Evancho fell from Four to 39, and the "Glee" Xmas disc dipped from Three to 108.

  • Thrift Dogg: Snoop Flies Coach!

Internationally famous rapper Snoop Dogg is a star who is really just like us -- if we fly the all-economy-class airline Southwest.

TMZ snapped a photo of the Cali MC finding his seat (while wearing a cozy lumberjack ear-flap hat and L.A. Dodgers varsity jacket) on a plane that originated in Las Vegas -- where Snoop had just picked up the winnings from a $20,000 bet with Ultimate Fighting Championship President Dana White, who proudly admitted, "I bet the Lakers against the Celtics, and I lost."

The sighting would be less remarkable had Snoop not been brandishing $20,000 in wads of cold hard cash shortly before hopping aboard the flight. Cue "Mind on my money and my money on mind" joke here. (We'll also accept "Soul Plane" submissions.)

  • In 2007, notoriously finicky Bob Dylan allowed one man -- Mark Ronson, an acclaimed producer at the top of his game -- to remix one of his songs, "Most Likely You Go Your Way (And I'll Go Mine)," for the first time ever.* Now it's 2011, and the Bard's standards seem to have dropped off a cliff. Anyone -- yes, anyone -- can now grab the stems for Dylan's classic "Subterranean Homesick Blues" and make them into... something.

Hear the separate bass/organ, drums, vocals, and electric guitar tracks for the 1965 song at Sony's Remix Project website, the home of a contest the label is hosting that awards its winner a free trip to the South by Southwest festival in March (via Consequence of Sound). To make your remixes remixier, Sony is offering additional bass, synth, and drum tracks by the Ting Tings and beats by 2 AM Club, two groups we're sure Dylan spins daily.

While the stems seem locked down in a really confusing virtual mixing board on the Remix site, at least we know they won't be

  • A contest held by the tourism board of Great Britain's idyllic Suffolk County to name the area's greatest icon loudly backfired when heavy metal enthusiasts in the area voted for Cradle of Filth's frontman Dani Filth to take home the honor. Because, with its 60 miles of breathtaking coastline and reputation as being the birth place of actors Ralph Fiennes and Bob Hoskins, who else could better exemplify the history of Suffolk County than the lead singer of a death metal band who once released songs called "Lord Abortion" and "Tortured Soul Asylum"?

Although Filth received over 13,000 votes in the Suffolk Icons contest, more than six times his closest competitor, the tourist board left the Marilyn Manson-esque singer off their list of 20 finalists, adding that Filth was omitted because he "lacked the required credentials to act as representative iconic images of Suffolk." Instead, we're left with such stalwarts of Suffolk iconography like "Fish and Chips on Aldeburgh Beach," "Racing at

  • How do you answer harsh accusations about your band's potentially unsavory behavior? Verrrry carefully. Paramore began wading through the host of allegations ex-members Josh and Zac Farro laid out in their scatching blog post explaining their abrupt departure as part of MTV's Paramore Explainapalooza '11. Here's how they handled the first one:

The Accusation: "After many meetings between Hayley, her manager and the labels they decided to sign her to Atlantic records. We didn't understand why Hayley was the only one signing the contract since we were told this was a 'band,' but we were too young to grasp all of this."

The Ostensible Short Answer: Yes, Hayley Williams' name is the only one on Paramore's recording contract.

The Band's Actual Answer: Got a few minutes? You may want to grab a coffee, go on, we'll wait... "When I was 14, I was offered a contract, but my heart wasn't to be a solo artist; my heart was to be in a band," Williams told MTV. "I mean, since I [was] a kid, I've
