The Ampifier's round-the-clock coverage of freed (Weezy!), arrested (Gucci!) and imprisoned rappers continues with the arrival of T.I.'s new album cover. "No Mercy" -- or the disc formerly known as "King Uncaged" before "King" was re-caged for an 11-month stint in an Arkansas prison over a parole violation -- is now due December 7th, according to Atlantic Records. Prior to going back behind bars, T.I. said he was working hard to ensure his very-delayed new LP (it was originally due in August) came out before year's end, but he's wisely not unleashing it on the Day That Will Save the Music Industry, where it would compete with huge releases from Kanye West and Nicki Minaj.
That's T.I.'s reflective, dour cover for "No Mercy" up top, but we can't help but think of Peter Gabriel's "Shaking the Tree" compilation artwork every time we look at it -- here's animated proof. T.I.'s track list hasn't been announced, but we wouldn't be surprised if a song called "Sledgehammer" is on there.
