  • For the second time in four months, Adele has canceled her U.S. tour because of throat problems. In June, the British sensation was forced to postpone her American gigs because of laryngitis. The rescheduled 10-city tour was supposed to kick off October 7th in Atlantic City, but Adele announced in a statement today that the trek is off because she's been stricken with a hemorrhage in her vocal chord. Doctors advised the singer that she needed an extended rest period in order to fully heal, and given that the shows were due to start in three days, that probably wasn't enough time.

When Adele canceled the concerts in June, she promised to reschedule the dates in the near future. There's no such optimism this time: The sold-out tour is canceled, and "Refunds may be obtained at point of purchase." This nixed trek comes just days after she wrapped a U.K. tour.

Read Adele's entire statement to fans below:

"singing is literally my life, its my hobbie, my love, my freedom and now my job. I

  • Just hours after Rihanna dismissed rumors that her next album is called I'm Sexy and I Know It (phew), the prolific pop star revealed the LP's true title to people that "like" her on Facebook. Talk That Talk, Riri's sixth album in seven years, is due out November 21st, the Monday before the dreaded Black Friday. There's usually a meaning behind Rihanna's album titles -- 2009's Rated R reflected the singer's serious, no-holds-barred mindset following the Chris Brown incident -- so TTT is probably a response to all the nonsense the tabloid press writes about her. As huge fans of Talk Talk, The Amp approves of anything that also uses the word twice in one sentence.

  • Remember Willow Smith?

One year ago, a super-stylish 9-year-old girl with a common yet famous last name had the world wrapped around her tiny little finger -- remember Willow Smith? She whipped her hair back and forth, everyone went nuts? She put out a video for "21st Century Girl" in March but hasn't been heard from since, which means she has aged to an ancient 23 in pop-star years. But rest assured, old Willow is still making an album -- she signed to Jay-Z's Roc Nation empire, after all -- and made a five-minute video documenting the process.

Reporting live from her rehearsal space, Smith dishes about the first song she's ever written and says she needs fans' feedback "because I've never really done this before." The song is called "The Epiphany" because she realized she can dance ballet in addition to singing. Huh? Well she's 10. The fact that she even knows the word "epiphany" is something.

There's footage of Smith playing some piano chords, singing along in the studio's control room, and barking

  • At 12:59 p.m. EST, a minute before Apple's "Let's Talk iPhone" conference began, the company's stock price was $381 a share. At press time, the going rate was $363, a $18 decrease in under two hours. Many analysts will say stockholders were disappointed Apple didn't unveil an iPhone 5 or confirm the rumored $20 billion exclusive deal with Sprint. The Amp, however, blames the fall entirely on the questionable future of the iPod classic and its circle wheel technology. New CEO Tim Cook didn't discuss rumors about Apple discontinuing the iPod Classic at year's end, but considering only the iPod Nano and Touch were mentioned at the event, the writing's on the wall. The iPod Classic has not received an update for more than two years (last upgrade: September 2009), and its games have been deleted from the iTunes store. Once they run out of Classic stock, that's probably it.

Apple did confirm some good advancements on the iPod front: The Nano's Nike+ "fitness experience" has been improved,

  • Pop stars rarely herald comebacks with acknowledgements that they've been gone long enough to warrant a comeback, but '80s pop star Martika has been out of the spotlight for so many years, she kind of had to say it. "I'm officially coming back with new material," she announced in a new video blog posted on Perez Hiton's site today, mentioning an album is in the works along with a 2012 tour. She did make one tactical error -- she asked fans to join her "Toy Soldier Army," evidently what she's decided to name her fans. Too soon, Martika. And that branch of the pop military doesn't sound like much of a match for the Rihanna Navy.

But, hey, Martika is coming back! If you don't remember her 1989 Number One hit "Toy Soldiers," you did not exchange any friendship bracelets for mixtapes with your camp buddies that year. Eminem sampled the track on 2004's "Like Toy Soldiers," too. Also important to know: Martika was on Kids Incorporated with Fergie.

Why come back now? Why not -- a quick

  • If a new show absolutely must join the already jam-packed lineup of reality-singing competitions on the airwaves, at least it's a series where contestants will be in physical peril for our amusement. Deadline reports that TruTV is jumping into a field crowded with American Idol, The Voice, The X Factor, The Sing-Off, Karaoke Battle USA, and lord knows what else with Killer Karaoke, a take-off of a British show called Sing If You Can. It's hard to get excited about yet another hour of Journey covers during prime time, but this helps: It's "described as the Wipeout of singing competitions" where contestants try "to sing a hit song while being put through extreme, wild and unexpected physical challenges."

    Go on, we're listening.

The original series has featured challenges like "performing a song from a specially designed erupting volcano and doing a solo while having one's chest waxed." This sounds like a job for a Jackass, and fittingly Steve-O has been tapped to host Killer Karaoke.

  • Bad news if you received a signed copy of a Van Halen LP or any other autographed rock-related item for Christmas last year: chances are, it's the work of a forger. David Shryock pleaded guilty yesterday to faking the signatures of rockers and athletes on over 1,200 pieces of memorabilia. Using eight different eBay accounts, this guy made about $175,000 over the course of his six-year scheme, including $177 on a "signed" copy of Van Halen's 5150. Shryock, whose name is almost like Shylock, faces 30 years in prison on fraud and illegal possession of a firearm charges, Reuters reports.

Shryock's operation was based in Joplin, Missouri, which was the victim of a deadly tornado four months ago. He was busted in December 2010, when he was caught burglarizing a lawyer's office for whatever reason. As police chased him, Shryock "drove his car off a cliff, bailed out, and was arrested after a foot chase." Shryock, who had a criminal record, was initially charged with possessing a firearm,
