Thug Motivation 103: Hustlerz AmbitionYoung Jeezy's 'Thug Motivation 103: Hustlerz Ambition' has been delayed for almost two years now, but with the album finally arriving on December 20th, the rapper has unveiled the disc's crown jewel, "I Do." The track co-stars Andre 3000, coming off his highlight reel guest spot on Drake's "The Real Me," and Jay-Z, making his first appearance since the worst verse of his career on Rihanna's "Talk That Talk." (Seriously, he's dreadful on that cut.) With Andre 3000 on board, "I Do" is even in the style of OutKast's bar-raising "Da Art of Storytellin'" series right down to the soul samples, but while The Amp usually fawns over every Three Stacks verse, but there's a feeling of déjà vu with this appearance:

By Daniel Kreps | Amplifier – Fri, Nov 18, 2011 12:28 PM ESTIt's hard to find affordable real estate in New York City, but now you can reside in a genuine music landmark for a mere $1,850 a month. Okay, so it's not that affordable, but it's still a landmark: Lady Gaga's one-bedroom apartment at 176 Stanton Street, where the Fame Monster lived when she was performing on the NYC bar scene as Stefani Germanotta, has been listed by Citi-Habitats. As Spin points out, it's the same third floor walk-up abode that Gaga was denied entry from when she took Anderson Cooper on a tour of Manhattan days. NYU students looking to ditch the dorms and obsessed Little Monsters hoping to score residence here should take a tour of the apartment in the video below. Added bonus: Pets are allowed, and the pad is within walking distance of a bunch of The Amp's favorite bars.

IVSomehow, a rapper on an independent label topping the Billboard 200 wasn't even the most surprising charts story this week. That's because 'Led Zeppelin IV' -- the album with "Stairway to Heaven" on it, among other classic rock radio mainstays -- was back on the Billboard 200 for the first time since 1987. According to Billboard.biz, the LP sometimes called 'ZoSo' reentered the charts at Number 166 after selling 3,600 copies last week, a 273% sales bump compared to the previous week. It helps that both iTunes and Amazon MP3 Store were offering 'IV' at a discount rate -- $6.99 and $5.99, respectively -- but why the sudden Zep fever?

Yo! MTV RapsMTV may have ditched the music video business, but they're dominating the nostalgia industry. After reviving their beloved alt-rock weekly '120 Minutes', reuniting with 'Beavis & Butt-head', and broadcasting classic footage -- albeit on VH1 Classic -- during their MTV30 celebration, the channel formerly known as Music Television will next resurrect another program from their golden age: 'Yo! MTV Raps'. The show is even bringing back its old hosts Ed Lover, Dr. Dre (this one), and Fab 5 Freddy. Don't go breaking out your old Big Daddy Kane cassettes and that VHS copy of 'Who's The Man?' just yet, though. 'Yo!' will only return to MTV2 for one night, Sunday, December 4th.Lady Gaga’s Platinum Cheat Inspires Chart Changes

Born This Way*In May, thanks to an Amazon MP3 Store deal that sold Lady Gaga's 'Born This Way' for 99 cents, the album sold a million copies in the week it was released. Going platinum in one week is an almost-impossible feat in these days of leaks and illegal downloading, but Gaga managed to accomplish it solely because of Amazon's deal. The Amp likened the tactic to the days when Barry Bonds and Mark McGwire were using performance-enhancing drugs to blast home runs, and we suggested that an asterisk accompany Gaga's feat. Billboard and Nielsen SoundScan, the company that tabulates music sales, agreed with our reasoning, as they announced changes today that ensure no album could cheat their way to a platinum plaque again. There Will Be No Rick Ross Album This Christmas

God Forgives, I Don'tNow that Drake's 'Take Care' was released this week, there was one more big hip-hop album still on the schedule for 2011: Rick Ross' 'God Forgives, I Don't'. However, because of the Teflon Don's recent health scares, the rapper — or at least his label, Island Def Jam — has pushed the new LP from its December 13th to an indefinite date in the "first quarter, early second quarter" of 2012, Billboard reports. That means no Rozay in the stockings of hip-hop heads this Christmas season.

Kevin Mazur/WireImage.comThe legal faux pas keep on coming. Yesterday it was an unearthed guilt-packed radio interview with C.C. DeVille that could wind up costing Poison millions, and now some text messages have emerged which seem to cast more doubt on Mariah Yeater's claims that Justin Bieber is her baby's daddy. As The Amp noted yesterday, even though Yeater's legal team withdrew their paternity suit against Bieber, they were still seeking a DNA test from the singer. However, TMZ has uncovered some texts that Yeater allegedly sent out that practically prove that the Staples Center rendezvous is just a con to make money off Bieber.Google Music: Lots of Potential, Lots of Work to Do

Google MusicAfter months of beta testing, and a day after iTunes Match ignited, Google Music finally launched yesterday with both a free 20,000-song digital locker and a refurbished music service in their Android Market. Google finished third behind Amazon and Apple in the race to the cloud-based streaming technology, so at this point you know what you're getting: A digital storage locker that allows users to access their music collection with the push of an app button. However, since this is Google Music, their service was crafted especially with Android devices in mind. Google Music also has some Spotify qualities that iTunes lacks, like its ability to tap into and share music over Google+. While Google Music has all the tools to become a worthy adversary of Apple's iTunes, the service isn't without some glaring flaws.Michael Stipe and Kermit the Frog Make a Terrible ‘Password’ Team
By Daniel Kreps | Amplifier – Thu, Nov 17, 2011 9:11 AM ESTMichael Stipe has plenty of time to hang out on late night shows now that he's not in a band anymore. The former R.E.M. singer stopped by 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon' yesterday to play a quick game of 'Password' with Martin Short, Kermit the Frog, and Miss Piggy. Short and Piggy made a formidable team, but the cerebral Stipe and the nervous frog were a mismatch. For instance, Stipe's clue for "bacon" is "rasher," which refers to a slice of bacon. It's also a word that no one ever uses because it doesn't show up on IHOP menus. "I think I need a dumber partner," Kermit remarked. This is easily the strangest pairing since Stipe sang a cappella with Stephen Colbert and Brian Eno.
Stipe also sat down with Fallon, Short, and the Muppets to talk about how he knew 'Collapse Into Now' was R.E.M.'s final album (hint: Stipe is waving goodbye on the cover), his favorite song to not make the band's greatest hits collection, and some banter between the singer and the frog about yellow corduroy pants:
