  • ... because his name is in the title and it isn't very good. Adam Levine goes a little too Barry Gibb on his vocals, the chorus includes the line "Take me by the tongue and I'll know you," and Christina Aguilera does some expert yet superfluous trilling. Maroon 5 and Aguilera debuted "Moves Like Jagger" on The Voice last night, because what's the point of being on a prime-time reality singing show if you don't have some product to sell, amirite? Their performance wasn't bad -- compared to the amateurs taking the stage one after another, they looked like old pros (with the exception of Dia Frampton for obvious reasons) -- but neither of them seemed too psyched to be singing it, and if Xtina was going to wear a white T-shirt with a black slogan on it, it really should have been this one:

Now the only question is will Mick be more offended by this meh song, or by knowing that karaoke joints in New York have turned his name into McJagger?

  • For whatever reason, late-night hosts love Jack White. Conan O'Brien and White are so tight, the White Stripes performed on the final episode of Late Night and O'Brien even brought his Legally Prohibited from Being Funny on Television Tour to White's Third Man Studios in Nashville. Now, White is branching out and including Stephen Colbert in his inner circle of TV pals.

In the hilarious first of three interviews White recorded with Colbert, the Third Man exec talks about turning "Seven Nation Army" into a yogurt commercial, balancing Jack White the record mogul with Jack White the rocker, and the entire Bob Seger discography. Tune in to the Colbert Report tonight for the second chapter in this epic conversation.

  • Who's Number One: Bad Meets Evil, a.k.a. Eminem and Royce da 5'9", booted Adele from the Billboard 200's top spot with 171,000 copies of Hell: The Sequel, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

And Ironically, Who Is Number Two: Jackie Evancho, the 11-year-old reality-show-discovered soprano whose voice is almost exclusively described as "heavenly." Her major-label full-length debut Dream With Me sold just 10,000 copies fewer, so the battle between Heaven and Hell was pretty tight. But yes, Evil won.

So That Means... Adele slipped to Number Three with 115,000 copies of 21 -- a tad more than last week -- while Lady Gaga's Born This Way dropped to Four with 68,000 copies. From 1.1 million to 68K in four week -- that's a pretty epic slide. Jason Aldean's My Kinda Party hit Number Five with 51,000, and a handful of debuts infiltrated the back half of the Top 10: Owl City's All Things Bright and Beautiful at Six (48,000), Barry Manilow's 15 Minutes at Seven (36,000), and Ledisi's Pieces of Me at

  • Last week, a video that seamlessly and impressively merged 36 different artists' YouTube renditions of Radiohead's "Paranoid Android" made the viral rounds. Somehow along the line, the clip gained an audience of Radiohead themselves, who were impressed enough to promote it on their official Dead Air Space website in a post headlined with a simple exclamation point. Considering the band only uses Dead Air Space to make announcements, post mix tapes featuring music no one's ever heard, and complain about the environment, the fact they linked to the "Paranoid Android" video must mean they were really wowed by their fans. It's not like Thom Yorke linked to Weezer's copycat version of "Paranoid Android" last month.

In other RH news, At Ease reveals that the upcoming BBC special From the Basement will feature a new Radiohead track, "Daily Mail," in addition to "Staircase," which the band posted online this week. Like "Staircase," the song originally debuted as a Thom Yorke solo track during

  • The blog Antiquiet recently gave the June 28th Limp Bizkit album Gold Cobra a one-star review. Guitarist Wes Borland -- who famously quit the band in 2001 and returned full time eight years later -- didn't love what critic Johnny Firecloud had to say, especially about frontman Fred Durst, so he sent the site a direct message via Twitter reading, "The hatred you have for Fred is part of the reason we've succeeded. I could see 1 out of 5 if you were expecting OK Computer, but... As far as LB records go, Gold Cobra is perfect."

Then something even more remarkable happened: Firecloud asked Borland if he'd be willing to discuss his point further and the guitarist agreed, exchanging a series of remarkably well-reasoned emails that you can read in full here. Some of his most interesting points:

    On Fred Durst:
"No matter what effect he has on people in a 'TMZ Personality' kind of way, he is an astonishing frontman and performer."

On why he returned to the band:
    "There's something in me that

  • Nirvana's Nevermind may be the greatest album recorded by anyone ever (we'll be happy to debate the issue in the comments or on The Amp Twitter), so with the 20th anniversary of the landmark LP rapidly approaching, we were concerned that Universal -- who took over Nevermind from DGC -- would produce a rush job reissue to cash in on the occasion. We even tweeted our trepidation about a mishandled Nevermind reissue last month. Our fears however, for now at least, have been assuaged as Universal has announced plans to celebrate Nevermind with a massive 4-CD/1-DVD deluxe edition on September 19th.

There's not much in terms of details so far, only that the four CDs "will include previously unreleased recordings, rarities, B-sides, BBC radio appearances, alternative mixes, rare live recordings" while there will be "an unreleased concert in its entirety on DVD." Everyone's had the Nevermind B-sides since 1992 -- "Curmudgeon," "Even in His Youth," Hormoaning EP, etc. -- so that's not a really
