Fleet Foxes Covered Whitney Houston’s ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody’ [Updated]

Before you celebrate Bon Iver Day, be sure to check out Fleet Foxes' cover of Whitney Houston's "I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)," her first single from 1987's Whitney. It is the sweet sound of six bearded dudes from Seattle harmonizing on "I wanna feel the heat with somebody" accompanied only by an acoustic guitar. It is pretty fantastic. Incidentally, Katy Perry is currently covering the song on her California Dreams tour and British pop star Jessie J also has an acoustic rendition. Covering "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" = officially trendy!

UPDATE: The trend has officially hit a snag. "We didn't do that Whitney Houston cover. Funny though!" the band tweeted last night. So this is actually the sound of a bunch of guys who aren't Fleet Foxes covering "I Wanna Dance With Somebody."
