‘Glee’ Now Booking Lady Gaga Songs Before They Exist

The cast of "Glee" will be doing their version of Michael Jackson's "Thriller," a song we all know and love, in a few months. They're also booked to do Lady Gaga's "Born This Way," a song we don't yet know but creator Ryan Murphy is convinced we will love. See what you've all done? "Glee" and Lady Gaga are now so powerful they can read our minds!

Murphy told EW Gaga gave the show clearance to use the first single from the album of the same name, gushing, "I love that that song is anthem." Let us remind you again, nobody has heard it yet -- except maybe insiders like Murphy, yet "mass acceptance" is a prerequisite for something being an "anthem." The song, which will premiere to civilians on February 13th (if not a little earlier knowing how these things go), will appear in an episode focusing on the closeted gay bully Karofsky (Max Adler) who torments Kurt (Chris Colfer).

Without knowing how the plot will turn out -- Murphy seems kind of unclear on that himself -- it does seem like "Born This Way" is a great fit for the episode based on its title and gay pride ethos alone. But this still reminds of that scene from "City Slickers" where Billy Crystal jokes his friend is interested in women so young, "Pretty soon you'll be dating sperm." Who can lock down the next Lady Gaga song before she even knows she's going to write it?
