Note to Haus of Gaga employees working on the packaging of Lady Gaga's May 23rd disc Born This Way: The Lady does not like the word "deluxe."
"I don't want the word 'deluxe' on the album," she tells a colleague in footage captured for the 42nd installment of behind-the-scenes video series GagaVision. "I hate that word," she adds, punctuating her vile contempt for the deplorable term by grasping her face and looking sad. "It infers the other one's of less value," her minion agrees. Yes, it does -- because it is. A non-deluxe album costs less and includes fewer bonus features. The two debate whether to change the color scheme on the more fancy version or use a different image altogether. Lady Gaga responds to this toughie by putting a blanket over her head.
We're just five days away from the arrival of the singer's second Born This Way single, "Judas," and in a chyron she tells us, "I graphic-designed the 'Judas' single cover myself, in Word, and photographed the image with my cellphone for texture." That is certainly not deluxe.
This episode of GagaVision also includes a moment of whimsy (a tour prank) in which someone wrapped a piece of pizza in the white fluffy towel Gaga reached for after a shower. You guys!
