Never, Under Any Circumstances, Show Courtney Love a Picture of Kurt Cobain

Courtney LoveThere was once a rumor going around that Axl Rose kicked a fan out of Guns N Roses show last year because the concertgoer was wearing a shirt with a picture of Slash on it. While that story remains urban legend, a similar situation happened last night during Hole's performance at Brazil's SWU Festival after a fan kept raising a poster of Kurt Cobain in view of the volatile Courtney Love. "You know, I don't need to see a picture of Kurt, a------, and I'm going to have you f------ removed if you keep throwing that up. I'm not Kurt," Love yelled at the crowd. "I have to live with his f------ ghost, his dirt, his kid every day. Throwing that up is stupid and rude, and I'm going to beat the f--- out of you if you do it again." Then, for no reason whatsoever, Love next aimed her rage toward Dave Grohl and Foo Fighters.

"You know, you weren't f------ married to him, I f------ was. You didn't get kicked out of a band like Dave, he did," Love said during the expletive-filled tirade. "Go see the f------ Foo Fighters and do that s---." Love ended her rant with a middle finger to the crowd and a heartfelt farewell, "Great, we'll leave now, f--- you." And just like that, Courtney sauntered off the stage, leaving the rest of Hole confused onstage in her wake. Still, she wasn't done!

Love came back out -- after the crowd chanted of "Foo Fighters are gay" -- and picked up where she left off. "I don't care what you listen to at home, but when a guy takes food off my kid's table, f--- him." It's believed that Love is referring to the Nevermind reissue that Grohl and Krist Novoselic championed but apparently didn't provide Love and co. with royalties. Courtney reportedly also flashed the crowd several times during her performance, but no video of that has surfaced yet. Watch Love's entire NSFW outburst at Spin.
