Rihanna Is Severely Exhausted, Canceling Concerts

Rihanna was forced to cancel her concert last night in Malmo, Sweden last night after suffering from flu-like symptoms. Yesterday, the singer posted a photo on Twitter of her arm hooked up to an IV and a message that said "Sorry Malmo!!!" A rep for Rihanna told TMZ that she was "not in condition to conduct the concert." A Live Nation spokesperson added that she had "severe exhaustion." Maybe all that partying she did in the "We Found Love" video finally caught up to her.

"I am sorry to everyone who was coming out to my show in Malmo. I was so excited to perform for you all," Rihanna said in a statement. "It would have been a great time...so much better than being sick with the flu, ugh! I'm really disappointed I couldn't be there." She'll need to make a quick recovery, as Rihanna's tour continues tonight and tomorrow with a pair of shows in Stockholm, Sweden. In fact, her Loud tour has her traveling through Europe until mid-December, even though her new album Talk That Talk arrives in November. By the time she wraps touring behind her last LP, she'll have to come home and promote her new disc. No wonder why she's severely exhausted.

Considering how prolific Rihanna is, The Amp is just surprised she came down with "flu-like symptoms" and not music's current trend, throat surgery. John Mayer, Adele, and Kiss' Paul Stanley all recently booked time with a surgeon to fix their vocal cords. Unlike Adele, who's own health problems were alleged to be something much worse, there are no vicious rumors circulating about Rihanna's condition. However, both singers' ailments inspired a popular trending topic on Twitter. This time: #prayforrihanna.
