Well, we see by our watch that it's just about Christmas time. And, since this is the hap-happiest time of the year, Framed is giving a present to you great readers by featuring not one, but two yuletide videos in our blog this week!

Yes, Virginia, there is a Framed!

Our first guests are Street Drum Corps, a group of punk rock percussionists out of Los Angeles. The Corps are best known for nothing in particular, but have appeared with Linkin Park on their Projekt Revolution tour. Which, as you can imagine, is certainly good enough for us! The punks are bringing their version of the John Lennon classic, "Happy Christmas (War Is Over)," a favorite every year.

Video #2 is the great new Bob Dylan video, "Must Be Santa," off of his new album, Christmas In The Heart. It's absolutely the best music video of the year, not to mention the most manic, and we simply couldn't overlook a video of this caliber.

Hello, readers, and welcome to Framed, the blog that's sort of like the other blogs, but not really. This week we welcome Death Cab For Cutie, the superb indie band out of beautiful Bellingham, Washington, to our space on the "net."

Death Cab, who took their name from a 1967 song by the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band, are bringing "I Will Possess Your Heart," a tune from their #1 album of last year, Narrow Stairs. The video, which shows the band playing in some sort of freezer, as well as a mopey girl traveling around the world by herself, makes absolutely no sense in any context whatsoever. Fortunately, Framed is here to provide context with our trademarked, professionally-written captions, so no worries!

"You pronounce it Boo-blay," is how his promotion went back in 2003, but now everyone knows about Michael Bublé. His last two albums have hit #1 in the U.S. and the British Columbian singer has also dominated the charts in countries like Australia, Italy, the Netherlands and his native Canadia...Framed's favorite country!

Or should we say "favourite?!"

No matter, we're just glad he's here! Mike's become a big star singing the standards--you know, tunes like "The Way You Look Tonight," "Save The Last Dance For Me," and "It Had Better Be Tonight"--generally with a big band. But he's also written a few of his own hits, like "Home" and "Lost." And that's not even to mention his high-quality pizza crust product!

This week, we continue to look ahead to the ninth season of the impossibly great American Idol  by spotlighting another of their also-rans. Last week, it was Jason Castro, and this week it's Adam Lambert, the guy who looked like a shoo-in last year. Even though he lost out to Kris Allen, let us be the first to predict that Adam will have a long and lucrative career!

We're pleased to be featuring Adam's first video, "Time For Miracles," from the new megahit action movie, 2012. The movie appears to be about the end of the world--pencil in December of that year, apocalypse fans!--but the song is all about not giving up on love. We're sure you'll agree that it's quite a showcase for the talented Lambert.

Nature announces the arrival of autumn with the changing of the leaves, the shortening of the days, and the start of a new TV season. And a new TV season, of course, turns our thoughts to Two And A Half Men, the over-the-top hilarious CBS comedy about men, half-men--centaurs, we assume--and their many adventures.

But beyond that, a new TV season turns our thoughts to American Idol, the nexus of TV and music. Has a TV program ever wielded such influence over the public's taste? We think not! Idol has given us million-selling artists like Kelly Clarkson, Jordin Sparks, and that one country girl whose name we always forget. All were declared winners by you, the viewing public.

We watch every week, of course, and we're equally fascinated by the contestants who don't win, yet go on to equal or exceed the top vote-getters. Hello, everyone, and welcome to this, the twelve millionth Framed. Interestingly, this week marks the 1,500th caption to appear in our blog, a mark we're quite proud of. Making the whole thing even more amazing is that 1,412 of those captions have been certified "really quite funny" by the United States government.

This week our foil...um, guest!...is country music superstar Brad Paisley, who's bringing his great new song and video, "Welcome To The Future." As well-known futurists, we were pretty darn excited when we heard about this, and you will be, too! Released in June of this year, Paisley's song talks about all the technological advances he's seen over his lifetime, and also the civil rights advances: references to Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King, Jr. are unmistakable.

Our guests are Belle & Sebastian, the great indie pop band out of Scotland, and this week's video is their uplifting "Dirty Dream Number Two," from 1998's The Boy With The Arab Strap album.
