Every week, readers from around the globe flock to our URL to enjoy a music video and, better yet, the very amusing captions we write for the video. In addition to being funny, our captions are also topical and, on occasion, existentially neat!

Best of all, the introduction to Framed is deeply informative and never, ever padded with filler, as if we were trying to reach a certain word count.

The very idea, in fact, is ridiculous!

But enough said.

This week we welcome back the great San Francisco band, Train, and their video "Drive By." It's really good; you're sure to enjoy it.

Now that Taylor's dating Tebow — it's true, readers! — we'd like to stay here in the present day.  But a prior commitment to feature 1960s folk rock artists the Byrds compels us to look back to yesteryear.

Living in Southern California, Framed is in tune with our large Mexican-American community, of course, and quite fond of their musical stylings. A few months back, we featured the great narcocorrido band, Los Cuates De Sinaloa, in this space. And this week, we're happy to bring in Los Tucanes De Tijuana and their new song, "Amor Compartido."

And, for you who only speak English, please welcome the Toucans of Tijuana and their new song, "Shared Love."

We were hard at work on our next book, Five To Shoot, which is a basketball murder mystery, when we realized that, oh, no!  We hadn't written next week's Framed!

Our writing schedule, as you can imagine, is quite intense!

It was Sunday night and deadline was approaching.  Unsure of what to do, we called the Y! Music Blogger Suicide Prevention Hotline and explained our problem.

The big news in music this month? Van Halen are back... in fact, they're backer than ever... and getting ready to launch a mega tour next month! And, not only that, they have new material — a new LP, A Different Kind of Truth, is due out any minute now!

Knowing that you're just as excited as we are, this week's vid is "Tattoo," an all-new track, and the first single from the new album. It was shot at the venerable Roxy in Hollywood, where the band has also been practicing for the tour.

As a special treat for our readers, Framed had the David Lee Roth of 1984 transferred to the present day and contracted with him to narrate the video! Man, do we have special powers, or what? So, with no further ado, please welcome the Diamond Dave of 27 years ago, and the all-new, all-powerful Van Halen!

This week's super special guest star is the great Josh Groban, the multi-platinum singer/songwriter and chart topper. Josh's first album, ten years ago, sold over 5 million copies, and every one of his LPs since has sold over a million. To top it all off, he's also a likeable actor and has appeared in films and on quality TV shows like Glee.

Hello, valued readers, and welcome to Framed! This week, our guest star is the inimitable R. Kelly, the talented and controversial singer whose career has been occasionally sidetracked by serious legal issues.  Despite them, Kelly is a true star, and was named the most successful R&B artist of the last 25 years by Billboard in 2011.

Our video is "Trapped In The Closet," R.'s seemingly never-ending saga of adventures in fidelity. This week we're featuring chapters one through five in the series that the singer himself has cutely described as "hip-hopera."

Now that we've gotten past the holidays... those are just getting better and better, aren't they?... we can all return to what we do best, which is watching TV.  And, when it comes to TV, nothing's bigger or better than American Idol, which starts its award-winning 93^rd season a week from Wednesday!  We'll all want to be there!

To help a grateful nation ease back into this greatest of shows, this week we're framing a video by the greatest singer to never win the show.  Is it Adam Lambert?  No way!  It's Danny Gokey, the bestubbled, bespectacled widower fella who wowed us back in season eight.  Everybody loves Danny!
