Last night, Holly Tucker was eliminated from "The Voice" in sixth place, becoming the first country singer and first Team Blake contestant of Season 4 to get cut. Today, my "The Day After" co-host Matt Whitfield and I chat about last night's result, as well as last night's live performances...including the one by "The Voice's" great pop-country hope, Season 3 winner Cassadee Pope.

Caleb Brauner is a breakout "SYTYCD" star in Memphis"So You Think You Can Dance" wrapped up its Season 10 auditions in Memphis this Tuesday, and in many ways, the show saved the best for last. From an adorkable nerd-boy to a couple fantastic dancers from Season 9 finalist Cyrus Spencer's magical Dragon House world (including Cyrus's ex!), the entire two-hour episode filled my eyes, heart, and DVR with happiness.

Holly Tucker says goodbye to Blake SheltonUntil this Tuesday, "The Voice" Season 4 was looking like "Nashville Star," the talent show that once launched the career of Blake Shelton's wife, Miranda Lambert. Of the six contestants still left in the competition, four of them were country acts, and three of those acts belonged to Blake, the only coach to still maintain a totally intact team.

Until this Tuesday, that is.

Last night, "The Voice" top six competed, and the episode seriously resembled a rerun of "Nashville Star." With three of the six contestants being Blake Shelton's team members and four of the six being country acts (and even the two remaining non-country singers doing country covers last night), "The Voice" seemed like it belonged more on the CMT network than on NBC.

"Master of the Mix" winner DJ JayCeeOh [photo: VH1]VH1's "Master of the Mix" is one of the more under-the-radar talent shows on television, but in many ways, it's one of the most legit.

The Smirnoff-sponsored DJ competition, judged by superstar DJs Mia Moretti and Kid Capri and music-biz heavyweight Benjamin Maddahi, featured some of the country's top rising DJs rocking the decks for a quarter-million-dollar prize. Along the way, the contestants faced challenges like remixing guest judge Estelle's songs (right in front of her!) and taking on hip-hop under the guidance of special guest Cut Chemist. Pretty cool, edgy stuff for reality TV.

photo: FoxIt took him a while, but Deandre Brackensick, the corkscrew-curled young man with an old soul from "American Idol" Season 11, has finally released his debut single.

Is Danielle Bradbery still the country girl to beat?"The Voice's" top six performance show this Monday was a mixed bag. A country bag. There was a country cover of a hair metal song. There were emo and R&B covers of country songs. There were a few old-school country songs, and some new-school country songs, too.

Really, aside from the Keane and Aretha covers, Monday's "Voice" episode pretty much resembled a rerun of the talent show Blake Shelton's wife Miranda Lambert once competed on, "Nashville Star."
