  • 8 Most Memorable Male Dancers in Rock

The Rolling Stones [Photo: Kevin Mazur/WireImage]Let's face it: We can't all dance like Beyonce, or Usher, or even Britney Spears at her worst. Haven't most of us at some point in our lives tried standing in front of the mirror, scrutinizing our poorly executed excuse for *NSYNC's "Bye Bye Bye" dance? (Okay, not most, but some). But lo, there is a place where fancy choreographed dance moves are few and far between -- and when they appear, boy do they shimmer with attainability!

What is this land of democratic dance moves called? Rock 'N' Freakin' Roll [rok-uhn-free-kin-rohl] and we're all invited to get a green card.

To celebrate the kickoff of the Rolling Stones' 50 & Counting tour this week, we've pored over hours of gentlemen high kicks, splits, rubber legs, and crazy hands to pick some of the most outrageous, mimic-able, and downright awesome dance moves ever to grace a rock audience. We're not talking mere jumping around and fist-pumping, but certifiable and signature dance moves. From moving like Jagger to seizing like Yorke,

  • 5 Things That Made Us :), :D, and :’) at Coachella 2013 Sunday, Weekend 2

Red Hot Chili Peppers [Photo by Debi Del Grande]We did it kids, Coachella 2013 is a wrap! There's a certain well-deserved satisfaction that comes with deleting the Coachella app from your phone. The last night of the desert music bender didn't lose a bit of momentum despite the surely burned and beaten crowds. As myself, your faceless Weekend 2 narrator, my rubber legs were given a break once I finally figured out the golf cart situation backstage.

Weekend 2's Sunday highlights were once again Tanlines' Brooklyn beats, Tame Impala's swaying rock, La Roux's heat-seeking dance tunes, and more from the deliciously sinister Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds (accompanied by a children's chorus whom likely has no idea who he is). Everyone I saw was in top shape, surely correcting errors and adding flairs after last weekend's performances. But oh, the hologram jokes ran rampant during onstage banter. Note to Coachella 2014: It's over.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers deserve a shout-out since the usually music-discerning Coachella crowd came out in hoards to the main stage, singing along to every song. They are likely the most commercial act to ever headline the festival, and as much as I want to stick my nose up at the band as a music writer, I couldn't help but realize that I, too, knew all the words. Plus, Anthony Kiedis was wearing a hat with punk super group Off!, so that was pretty cool.

Well party people, slather on some aloe, pop some aspirin, and check out some moments that made us smile, stoked, and shed a tear of happiness at Weekend 2, Sunday!

  • Portugal. The Man [Photo by Debi Del Grande]"My legs!" she cried! No bother, the music extravaganza known as Coachella raged on for Saturday, Weekend 2. The Violent Femmes played their debut album again, Baauer dropped "Harlem Shake" again (as production people bit their nails that he would run out of time), The Make-Up's Ian Svenonius choked on mics atop the audience again, and Phoenix was alas R. Kelly-less and the xx was Solange-less the second time around. But there was more, oh so much more to experience that we haven't covered during Weekend 1.

We're breaking from the :), :/, and :( format, because really, there wasn't anything to :( about -- except seeing the completely naked dude being escorted out of the main stage. It was "eh". Otherwise, we saw 2 Chainz pack out his tent wearing three chains, Portugal. The Man made a perfect sunset performance, Simian Mobile Disco got the crowd pumped while playing an assortment of vintage boards, and experienced some more particularly high highlights from Saturday, Weekend 2!

  • 5 Things That Made Us :), :/, and :( at Coachella 2013 Friday, Weekend 2

Jurassic 5 [Photo by Debi Del Grande]For the second year in a row, Coachella throws us for a Groundhog's Day loop, giving festival-goers the (almost) identical lineup from last weekend's severely wind-swept music extravaganza. Weekend 2 has historically brought much less in "wow" factor than Weekend 1 with it's clear lack of star-studded surprise guests, but I like to consider the second weekend to be the main show to last weekend's warm-up!

The usual highlights went to the same winners as last Friday -- Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Blur, Johnny Marr -- but this week we were able to catch exceptional sets from a hypnotizing Tegan and Sara, a well-needed hip-hop break from Jurassic 5, and even the Stone Roses (despite their slot switcheroo) performed better than their poorly attended headlining set last Friday.

But let's get into the granular moments of Coachella Weekend 2, Friday with some fun highlights, awkward moments, and "I'm outta here" times!

  • 5 Tips for Crashing Coachella Parties

Lacoste's annual Coachella pool party [Photo: John Sciulli/WireImage]

Give a man a fish and he'll eat for like, five minutes. Give a man some art supplies and a false sense of entitlement and he'll be drinking for free all Coachella long.

If you're one of the many people who didn't rush to drain a bank account for Coachella tickets this year, you're in luck. The next best thing (or for many reasons, even better) is the plethora of free, celeb-packed satellite parties happening around the California desert. Sadly, not everyone is on one of the tightly guarded lists, or is a perennial party It-Girl who passes through bouncers like a ghost through fog. But this year we're risking our necks and spilling some tricks of the party-crashing trade. By no means are these all the tips you need, or a guaranteed entry, but it's a good starting off point. Use your street smarts; you can thank us later.

NOTE: Revealing secrets automatically puts an expiration date on them, so be sure to use them as soon as you can!

    Here's some tried-and-true guerrilla party

  • Wedding bells are ringing for rock power couple Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger -- at some point. Lavigne sat down with the true "Queen of All Media" Ryan Seacrest, on KIIS FM's On Air With Ryan Seacrest to chat about their upcoming nuptials and how the adorable proposal went down. But the actual date of the wedding stayed a close kept secret.

Dragged into the interview from the spectator's corner, all Kroeger could say about the big day was, "I can’t tell you [the date] but we’re planning it.” Chad joked, “every man knows we get very little participation in the wedding, and these are goods things. Or else Steel Panther ends up playing.” Considering the oh-so-romantic Steel Panther song that Kroeger was featured on is called "It Won't Suck Itself", it's probably for the best.

  • Blake Shelton Talks Tabloids, ACMs and Beauty Pageant Days!

Before country singer Blake Shelton became a chart-topping superstar and TV judge, Shelton took any chance he could get to perform on stage. One of those chances? A Valentine's Day-themed beauty pageant in 1985 when he was just 8 or 9 years old! Cue the awwwws.

The eager mini Shelton bounced around the stage like a little Elvis singing Bob Seger's "Old Time Rock and Roll" as the audience clapped along.

In an interview, Shelton told CBS This Morning's Gayle King, "Because I wanted to be a singer, that was a chance for me to be in the talent portion and sing. There was a spotlight hitting me and it was just this thing that happened when I was a kid and never got over it."

  • Italo disco legend Giorgio Moroder revealed some interesting tidbits when he sat down with Vice's Creator's Project recently to talk about his part in Daft Punk's upcoming album Random Access Memories. The dancefloor luminary talks about the heyday of disco music, how a horrible bassline remains in Donna Summer's disco-defining hit "I Feel Love", and how the robots are adding a "human touch" to today's dance music.

Let's take a step back for a second. When I think about Daft Punk finally coming out with a new album, I can't help but tear up a little bit. They truly turn my black leather heart into some glowing orb of life force and uncontrollable revelry.
