  • Taylor Swift’s Big Grammy Fumble & Other Memorable Moments

While every televised event is prone to plenty of unplanned moments, the evening's award for most Grammy gaffes has to go to the night's big winner, America's country sweetheart Taylor Swift.

Swift set the blunder bar high during a particularly off-key duet with industry veteran Stevie Nicks--who herself seemed to struggle with hitting the high notes. But in what was undoubtedly the clumsy climax of the evening, butterfingered Swift broke one of her Grammy trophies. While attempting to pose with all four of her awards for photographers backstage, the 20-year-old songstress dropped one of them, smashing it into pieces.

Taylor's night might have been salvaged by her Album of the Year win, but seeing Beyoncé's disappointment written all over her face and the look of outright disdain from Lady Gaga likely put a damper on her big moment.

That said, Swift was certainly not alone in her awkwardness; the following stars kept her in very good company:

    Carrie Underwood may have looked

  • Grammys Go Gaga!

From the minute she stepped out of her convertible Rolls Royce decked out in a solar-system-inspired gown, Lady Gaga and her three distinct outfit changes grabbed all the attention--even though the singer herself only grabbed two awards for her five nominations.

After dazzling the red-carpet oglers with her otherworldly Armani getup, Gaga opened the awards with a duet with Elton John that was preceded by a shortened arrangement of her seemingly unstoppable hit, "Poker Face." The performance was unforgettable, but her golden hairdo and pink frock was left behind in favor of high-cut, dazzling emerald leotard with platinum blonde, iron-straight extensions. Add to that sparkling fuschia triangles covering her eyes, it was almost enough to distract from what at best appeared to be a very uncomfortable wardrobe malfunction.

After being ceremoniously deposited into a giant cauldron of flames, Gaga reemerged onto the stage sans eye glitter and plus one very effervescent Elton John for a

  • Wacky, Wondrous Fashion Wins On Grammys Red Carpet

While the Grammys are ostensibly about honoring the greatest musical achievements of the past year, sometimes the real achievements--for better or worse--take place in the hours before the show begins. This year's red carpet fashion was of course no exception--with pop stars like Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Britney Spears, and Taylor Swift all turning heads, albeit for very different reasons.

The predictably unpredictable Lady Gaga arrived looking like a space-age Tinkerbell with sunflower-yellow, shoulder-length locks. In her right hand Gaga held a giant, chrome-spiked star. She wore an Armani-designed sheer, pink dress ringed with Saturn-like circles.

Below are some more A-list arrivals...including one pop star who apparently forgot to put on her skirt before hitting the red carpet:

    Britney Spears

    Beyonce

    Taylor Swift

    Katy Perry

    Pink

    Carrie Underwood

    Miley Cyrus

  • The Grammys’ Most Memorable Outfits

The Grammy Awards have long been considered as big a night for fashion as they are for music. With industry veterans and newbies all vying for attention on the red carpet, some celebs go to great lengths (and even shorter shorts) for a little extra love from the photographer's flash. In anticipation of Sunday's big event, we've put together ten of the Grammy Awards' most memorable red carpet moments. From Michael Jackson to M.I.A., these stars' sartorial choices have made a lasting impression on our minds, magazines, and music history.

    Michael Jackson 1984

Michael Jackson arrived at the 1984 Grammy Awards ceremony wearing a bedazzled marching band jacket, matching pants, and a now infamous white glove. Though the King of Pop took home what was at the time a record-breaking eight awards—including Record and Album of the Year — it was Jackson's solitary and sequined glove that stole the show.

And its decision to bring aboard a Chinese partner for "Iron Man 3" and focus the Disney marketing machine on the booming foreign market looks pretty good right now, too. ...
