  • Grammy Security Increased Amid Dorner Manhunt

    The Staples Center in Los Angeles has beefed up security for tonight's 55th Annual Grammy Awards, as the massive manhunt for fugitive ex-LAPD officer Christopher Dorner continues. Besides additional barriers, there has been an extra police presence as the music's biggest stars walked the red carpet, according to CBS News.

    Dorner, who is alleged to have killed three people and injured several others in a revenge rampage, expressed a fascination with celebrities via an 11-page manifesto posted on Facebook, and Grammy promoters were taking no chances with security at tonight's high-profile event.

    Both uniformed and plain-clothed police were stationed throughout the venue.

    According to ABC News, police originally dismissed Dorner's manifesto as "self-serving" and "ramblings on the Internet," but have still decided to take extra precautions in light of tonight's heavily attended celebrity gathering.

    Taylor Swift's Grammys streak is safe and sound. The pop-country star nabbed an early Grammy on Sunday night for her "Hunger Games" collaboration with the Civil Wars and T-Bone Burnett, taking her Grammy tally past the half-dozen mark. The song, "Safe & Sound," was featured in the 2012 blockbuster movie "The Hunger Games" and won the pre-show Grammy for Best Song Written For Visual Media.

    Swift -- who opened the 55th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony dressed as the Mad Hatter in a Cirque de Soleil-style rendition of her hit song "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together"-- was on hand for the pre-telecast portion of the show, and she couldn't hide her excitement when the Visual Media win was announced.

    After taking the stage with fellow songwriters T-Bone Burnett, Joy Williams and John Paul White, an emotional Swift tweeted the news to her fans: "WE JUST WON A GRAMMY FOR SAFE AND SOUND!!!!!!!!!!"
