Mondays are usually everyone's least favorite day of the week — except if you happen to be a One Direction fan! Everyone's favorite heartthrobs are making Monday, Nov. 25 sweet with a pre-Thanksgiving treat: A streamed record release party for their new album, Midnight Memories .
The "One Direction iHeartRadio Album Release Party" will be held at the iHeartRadio Theater Los Angeles – Clear Channel's new music and events venue located at The Burbank Studios in Burbank, Ca. — and streamed for all to watch on Yahoo Screen. The band will deliver an electrifying live performance (sure to be packed with their new music); and What's more, the event will be hosted by none other than "American Idol"'s Ryan Seacrest, who will conduct an intimate Q&A with the guys about the making and meaning of Midnight Memories .
1D's Niall Horan is plenty pumped up for the event. "We're really excited about the album release party with iHeartRadio. We're really proud of the album and can't wait to perform tracks from it," he enthused. "And what's more, we get to hang with Seacrest...It's going to be a great day!!"
Was Miley Cyrus's sister really at the show? And if so, what was she doing there?
Yup. That was indeed Cyrus's 26-year-old half-sister Brandi (Cyrus also has a younger sister, Noah, as well as two brothers), who was there interviewing stars on the red carpet for SPIN. Although Brandi may be a new face for many viewers, the eldest Cyrus daughter actually is a musician like her sister, adopted dad (Billy Ray Cyrus), and brother (Trace Cyrus). She's in the pop duo Frank + Derol, which released an EP on major label Interscope in late 2012. Like the entire Cyrus clan, she appeared in solidarity with her most famous sibling, showing up in an all-white outfit that mirrored Miley's (relatively) demure white pantsuit nicely.
Okay, just what was Justin Timberlake saying to Taylor Swift when he accepted his award for Pop/Rock Male of the Year?
Speaking like a jaded veteran of red carpet wars, Cyrus was impressively humorous about her rival's splash. "What a [expletive] scene stealer," Cyrus noted dryly. "Next time I'm coming in on a dragon."

"This is a good vibe for me," announced a grinning Scotty McCreery, addressing a cheering crowd at the historic Carolina Theater in Durham, NC. Truer words were never spoken: McCreery, himself a Carolina boy from neighboring Raleigh, no doubt felt completely at home with an adoring hometown audience cheering him on.

Eminem's childhood home — immortalized on the cover of his latest album, "The Marshall Mathers LP 2" — was seriously damaged by fire Thursday.
The small brick bungalow, located on Dresden Street, just south of 8 Mile Road in East Detroit, was boarded up and apparently uninhabited. Portions of the top floor were ruined in the blaze. The Detroit Fire Department, which responded around 6:20 p.m., has not yet identified the reason behind the blaze.
According to local news reports, the bungalow sits on a untended, weed-covered lot, and is surrounded by similar homes that are mostly vacant. The neighborhood, once thriving, is now described as "rough" by officials.
In addition to his latest album, released Nov. 5, Eminem chose to feature the house on his 2000 release, "The Marshall Mathers LP," which sold more than 20 million copies worldwide and is widely regarded by critics as one of the best hip-hop albums in history.

The legendary Kenny Rogers is probably best known for his 1983 duet "Islands In The Stream," which he famously recorded with another country stalwart — namely, the equally iconic Dolly Parton.
However, it wasn't that particular blonde he took the stage with at the 2013 Country Music Association Awards to perform that particular tune.
Rogers was joined by Sugarland frontwoman/newly solo artist Jennifer Nettles, who, while not quite Dolly material, did do Parton proud with her soaring vocals, beaming smile, and tight, low-cut jumpsuit.
Nettles paired up with Rogers as part of the CMA Awards' tribute to Rogers's extraordinary career. He was presented with the Association's Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award for the evening.
In a testament to the 75-year-old Rogers's longevity and flexibility, modern country stalwarts Rascal Flatts gave a stirring rendition of his 1968 hit with the First Edition, "Just Dropped In," an ode to the psychedelic culture of the decade and a sharp diversion from his pop/country catalogue.
Darius Rucker also paid homage to a better-known hit, 1978's Grammy-winning "The Gambler."

What do the cast of "Duck Dynasty" and pop phenomenon Robin Thicke have in common?
Yeah, the correct answer to that would be: Absolutely nothing .
That is, unless they are subject matter in the hands of Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood at the 2013 Country Music Association Awards. The pair, longtime hosts of the annual awards show — and perpetual jokesters — managed to put their own redneck spin on Thicke's massive summertime hit, "Blurred Lines," using the massively popular redneck reality series as inspiration.
"You're a country girl !" the two warbled, in place of "good girl." And, instead of Thicke's suggestive "I know you want it," they substituted "I know you've hunted !"
The CMA Awards are a family-friendly show, so there was no representation of Thicke's infamously scantily clad models that accompanied him in the "Blurred Lines" video. However, Paisley and Underwood treated the crowd to something even better: The actual cast of "Duck Dynasty," who boogied on stage with them, much to the audience's delight.
"These ducks aren't plastic," Paisley deadpanned.

There's a huge music shindig coming up on November 24 — namely, the 2013 American Music Awards — and the show has found a host worthy of the occasion. Yahoo Music has exclusively learned that international superstar and multiplatinum-selling artist Pitbull will be getting the party started.
Pitbull will be serving as the show’s first host since 2008; and to further the fun, he will also perform his new hit single "Timber” with fellow pop star Ke$ha.
"I am truly honored to be hosting the 2013 American Music Awards,” Pitbull noted of his new post. "The night is only about one thing: fun! So buckle and get ready. Dále!”
"Pitbull is a multi-talented global superstar and the right man to take the reins of the night, which is going to be one great party," added American Music Awards Producer Larry Klein. "That’s why he is called 'Mr. Worldwide.' He's the perfect choice to celebrate the universal language of music.”

It's a fact: At the tender age of 23, crossover sensation Taylor Swift has won just about every award available in the music-related stratosphere. However, it always seems there is yet another golden ring to reach for, and this time, Swift is poised to seize a momentous recognition in the country music realm.
On Monday it was announced that Swift will be receiving the Country Music Association's Pinnacle Award at the organization's 47th Annual CMA Awards, which will be held Wednesday in Nashville.
Now, before you write this off as just another award -- in short, it's not . It recognizes country musicians who have reached an extraordinarily high level of success. So high, in fact, that only one other artist has received it: Garth Brooks, for whom it was created in 2005.
