  • Eric Church Leads 2013 ACM Awards Nominees

Eric Church (Photo: Lester Cohen)The nominations for the 48th annual Academy of Country Music Awards have been announced, and Eric Church is 2013’s lead nominee, with seven nods to his name—including the prestigious album of the year category for his platinum-selling Chief.

Church is also up for male vocalist, single, song (as both writer and performer), video of the year, and vocal event of the year.

He didn’t make the top category of entertainer of the year, however. Competing for the night’s ultimate honor are Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Taylor Swift, and—interestingly—Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert, who will compete against each other as spouses.

  • Lady Gaga Postpones Tour Dates Due To Injury, Apologizes Profusely To Fans

Lady Gaga (Photo: Vathiswa Ruselo)Calling all Little Monsters: Brace yourself, because Lady Gaga has some disappointing news to share. The singer announced Tuesday she must put a temporary halt on her Born This Way Ball due to an injury that's forcing her off stage for a few dates.

Gaga, of all stars, knows how devoted her fans are--and how devoted she is to them--so her announcement on Twitter was gravely worded. "I hardly know what to say," she tweeted, then explained her full situation.

"I've been hiding a show injury and chronic pain for sometime now, over the past month it has worsened. I've been praying it would heal," she noted. "I hid it from my staff, I didn't want to disappoint my amazing fans. However after last nights performance I could not walk and still can't."

  • Justin Bieber Irked By Black Keys Drummer, Says He Should Be ‘Slapped Around’

Justin Bieber (Photo: Theo Wargo)If you haven't heard by now: Justin Bieber is upset that he was shut out of the 2013 Grammys. And the superstar isn’t taking kindly to those who suggest he really doesn’t have much to complain about.

When Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney—whose band scooped up four Grammy Awards on Sunday—told TMZ that Bieber should be happy because “The Grammys are for music, not money…he’s making a lot of money,” the Biebs responded swiftly on Twitter.

“The black keys drummer should be slapped around,” he tweeted.

Bieber softened his statement somewhat by adding “haha” at the end, but…well, we all know how these sorts of social media wars go.

Fan response was swift, with the expected plentiful support from Beliebers—although many took Bieber to task for being rude and promoting violence.

Patrick Carney (Photo: Jason LaVeris)For his part, Carney responded to Bieber’s tweet with a frowning emoticon, following it with a string of retweets from angry Bieber fans. Sentiments ranged from mere disapproval (“I no longer like you nor do I like your band”) to actual rage (“HE NEEDS A PUNCH IN THE FACE WITH A BRICK,” read one).

  • Taylor Swift Styles Up Like…Harry Styles!

Taylor Swift may have insinuated during her biting Grammys performance Sunday that she is “never ever getting back together” with her ex, One Direction’s Harry Styles. That doesn’t mean she’s forgotten him, however. Quite the contrary: She’s even dressing like him now.

Swift chose an outfit for the filming of her newest video that mirrors her ex’s fashion sense almost exactly. She nailed every detail of Style’s signature casual look: baggy sweater, tight black jeans, ankle boots….and, of course, the knit beanie on top to cover those fabulous locks. Compare for yourselves!

  • Who’s That Dude Who Stage-Crashed Adele’s Grammy Win?

Guess who doesn't belong? (Photo: Kevork Djansezian)If you thought your eyes were playing tricks on you when Adele took the 2013 Grammys stage to accept her best pop solo performance award--rest assured, that really was a random stage crasher you saw horning in on the action.

Okay, so he wasn't as flashy as 1998's "Soy Bomb," who essentially stole Bob Dylan's Grammy performance--or, for that matter, Kanye West, who bodily wrenched a VMA out of Taylor Swift's unwitting hands in 2009. However, the man who calmly stood next to presenters Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull has his own cache: He's a world-famous stage crasher!

  • Blake Shelton Announces New Album, Debuts New Video, Talks New Season Of ‘Voice’

Anyone out there hankering for a new Blake Shelton record? The country superstar and Voice coach has one just about ready for you, so sit tight! Shelton revealed Monday on the Today Show that his new set, titled Based On A True Story..., will hit stores March 26.

Shelton also took the opportunity to debut his brand-new video, “Sure Be Cool If You Did,” while hanging with Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb.

True to form, the singer enjoyed some fun bantering with the hosts during his appearance, with a few serious subjects thrown in. When asked how he felt about his remarkably successful 2012, Shelton demurred, “I tend not to think too hard about this stuff--because once I start thinking about stuff, I tend to screw it up!”

He also had high praise for new Voice coaches Shakira and Usher, who replace the departing Christina Aguilera and Cee-Lo. “I couldn’t believe it when I heard they were gonna do it,” Shelton enthused. “I thought there’s no way we could get people like that on the

  • Taylor Swift Unleashed at Grammys: Five Reasons She’s Better Without a Boyfriend

Taylor Swift may have been making glum headlines in the past few weeks for her most recent breakup—with One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles—which reportedly did a number on her spirit. However, the blond superstar showed Sunday night at the 55th annual Grammy Awards that she’s back in fine form as a single girl.

Weren’t taking notes during the telecast? Here’s five things the famous "hopeless romantic" did to prove that she doesn’t need a boyfriend by her side to have a ton of fun:

Photo: Jason MerrittRed carpet edginess: Swift arrived at the Grammys sending clear intent right off the bat that she wasn’t going to play the heartbroken card. Unlike the demure, dark, and conservative gown she wore at the Golden Globes just a couple weeks ago, Swift’s daringly cut gold-and-white Grammy gown fairly screamed “Let’s get this party started!”

We are never getting back together—like ever: Swift stunned the Grammy audience with her fierce opening performance, a fantasy-come-to-life Alice In Wonderland-esque romp

  • Katy Perry’s Decolletage Wows Grammy Crowd…Except For One Star Couple

Katy Perry drew lots of stares—both admiring and incredulous-- on the 2013 Grammys red carpet for her daring, bosom-baring green gown. One power couple at the show was definitely underwhelmed by Perry’s overwhelming assets, however, and they weren’t afraid to show it.

    Photo: Christopher Polk

Yup, that’s Ellen DeGeneres and Portia DeRossi checking out Perry’s décolletage—DeGeneres looking horrified, DeRossi amused.

We’re pretty sure the pair were merely hamming it up for a photo op, but if they weren’t…sorry Katy, that just wasn’t very nice. Even if you did blatantly violate the Grammy wardrobe mandate, which was emailed earlier this week by CBS' standards and practices department and stated in part "please be sure … female breasts are adequately covered.”

The 55th Annual Grammy Awards aired live Sunday from Los Angeles's Staples Center. For a list of winners, click here.
