  • Jake Owen Becomes A New Daddy On Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving Day was a holiday of special gratitude for Jake Owen, as his family received something just a wee bit extra to be thankful for. The singer became a brand-new dad on November 22!

The little holiday baby, named Olive Pearl (she'll be called by her middle name, which was chosen in honor of Owen's later godmother) weighed in at 6 pounds 3 ounces, according to an ecstatic report from Daddy. "Today is the greatest day of my life," Owen tweeted, adding an adorable picture of himself holding his newborn "turkey baby."

Mom is Owen's wife Lacey, whom he married in May. The couple have been wasting no time getting settled this year--the wedding took place only a month after Owen's onstage proposal, and now they are officially parents just seven months later.

"Lacey and I are so excited to start our own family," Owen said in a statement. "We are looking forward to teaching Pearl everything we learned from our parents and also learning from her."

Congratulations to the Owen family on

  • Ke$ha Shows Off Headgear Made Of…Human Teeth

There's dedicated fans, and then there's dedicated fans--and we have to say that Ke$ha's admirers seem to fall into the emphasized category. Just how devoted are her "animals"--as she terms them? So much that they actually sent her body parts upon request.

According to an interview with BANG Showbiz, the pop hitmaker asked her fans to each send a tooth to her. Apparently this request wasn't too much of a stretch: "I got, like, over 1000 human teeth," she noted. Let's not speculate how these teeth got out of their owners' mouths, shall we?

Regardless, no one need worry that these, er, dental efforts went to waste. Ke$ha put the teeth to good use, explaining that she had enough material to fashion a bra-style top, earrings, necklaces, and even a headdress. Ewww...wanna see? The singer tweeted a photo to prove it. "animals!!! THIS is the headdress that I made out of all of your teeth!!!!!!" she crowed.

  • They say the couple that plays together, stays together--and, in the case of country power pair Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood, that's certainly true! The husband-and wife team share a favorite hobby, cooking, which they show off during a rare joint appearance on Yearwood's Food Network series, Trisha's Southern Kitchen.

In the new epsiode, titled "Garth Brooks Is In The Kitchen" and airing Saturday at 11 a.m. ET/PT, Yearwood and Brooks team up to create some of the dishes they love to cook together: Black Bean Lasagna, Trisha's Thai Salad, "Miss" Mickey's Peanut Butter Balls and Lemonade. (You can cook along with them--recipes are available here.)

  • Clemson Football Alum Lee Brice Talks Big Rivalry, Song He Wrote For His Team

Lee Brice on 'Jimmy Fallon' (Photo: NBC)One can safely say that country musician Lee Brice has led something of a charmed life. The 33-year-old has achieved two tremendous--and fun--goals that most little boys in America dream of: He's played football for a major university, and he gets to rock out every night as part of his current occupation.

Brice started out on the sports trail with a scholarship to South Carolina's Clemson University, where he eventually had to drop off the team due to an injury. However, instead of getting discouraged, he decided to make music his path instead. He's also held Clemson near and dear to his heart all these years, being an avid fan of Tigers football every season--and even making some time to give back to his campus musically (read on, and you'll see the unique contribution he's making this year!).

  • Justin Bieber Gets (Lovingly) Ambushed By Jenny McCarthy

Whoa! Justin Bieber may be still smarting in the wake of his breakup to Selena Gomez, but that doesn't mean the teen superstar is hurting for offers. At the American Music Awards Sunday night, Bieber all but had to run away from a very hot older woman who seemed quite happy to show her affection for him on stage.

The lady in question? The 40-year-old Jenny McCarthy, who presented Bieber with the night's award for Favorite Pop/Rock Album--then grabbed the 18-year-old from behind and kissed him on the neck. While co-presenter Luke Bryan gave a ribald whoop, a startled looking Bieber dashed away--looking, for once, completely confounded.

  • Pink Tops Herself Yet Again With Extraordinary AMAs Performance Of “Try”

Pink onstage at the 2012 AMAs (Photo: Kevork Djansezian)For those who thought Pink couldn't possibly top her 2010 Grammy Awards performance of "Glitter In The Air"--where she performed upside down, suspended in mid-air, and nearly naked--the feisty singer did a good job of rivalring that at the 2012 American Music Awards, where she did a spot-on reinactment of her arresting "Try" video.

"Try," for those not familiar, debuted in October and details through elaborate, remarkably emotional--and intensely physical--choreography the struggles of a relationship that's gone awry. The end result proved difficult for many to watch, even some of Pink's own family: "Wow, honey. I'm speechless. And uncomfortable. No one can ever say you play it safe," Pink quoted her own mother as saying.

  • Justin Bieber Starts American Music Awards Off On Bratty Note

Justin Bieber arrives at the AMAs with his mom. (Photo: Steve Granitz)Justin Bieber took home the first award of the night at the 40th annual American Music Awards--Favorite Male Pop/Rock Artist--but instead of his usual positivity, he set a rather bratty tone for the remainder of the evening.

Instead of leading off with the usual accolades (you know: God, parents, hard-working staff, that sort of thing), Bieber chose the rubbing-in route for his thank-you speech. "This is for all the haters who thought I'd be around for 1, 2 years," he announced, adding, "I feel like I'm gonna be here for a very long time."

  • Bieber and Gomez in happier times (Photo: Noel Vasquez)They're off, then they're on...then off again? Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez just can't seem to make up their minds. After the young couple's split went public just a week ago, the pair attempted to reconcile a few days later--but then, apparently are on the outs again as of Friday night.

Okay, okay. Who can keep up with these crazy kids? Here's a quick rundown to what Bieber and Gomez have been up to since the breakup. On Tuesday, Bieber--apparently not thrilled about being dumped--landed himself a traffic ticket for speeding around West Hollywood in his Ferrari. He hopped on a motorcycle to show off some more on Wednesday, but then reportedly picked up Gomez from the airport that evening and spent the night with her.

Things must have gone well enough to schedule another date, for the pair were spotted at Los Angeles-area restaurant Yamato together on Friday night. However, according to People, the evening went sour almost before it even began. Five minutes after entering, Bieber and an angry-looking Gomez left, taking separate cars.

Bryan Adams (Photo: Victor Chavez)Sure, you're familiar with Bryan Adams as the Canadian hitmaker responsible for such '80s and '90s classics as "Cuts Like A Knife," "Summer of '69," "Run To You," and "Please Forgive Me." In the music world alone, Mick Jagger, Michael Jackson, Amy Winehouse, Ron Wood, Sting, Morrissey, Billy Idol, and more have posed for him. You can see examples of his work here.

"The whole thing sort of started through documenting my own work," Adams told CNN of his inital foray into the art. "I started doing pictures for my own album covers."
