Blake Shelton's been riding a considerable surge of popularity over the past two years, and he somehow just keeps topping himself over and over with achievements. However, this latest notch in his career belt is one I admit I didn't see coming: He's going to be starring in a reality TV show.
Shelton just announced Monday that he's joining the cast of The Voice, a new singing competition--all genres, not just country--debuting next month on NBC.
For those not familiar with The Voice, the program centers around four celebrity musicians, each selecting a team of amateur artists to mentor into star material. In an innovative twist, the coaches will not see the competitors at first--they'll choose their teams based solely on vocal talent.
