Between performing with One Direction, starring in awkward Pepsi commercials with Drew Brees, and fending off photographers, Harry Styles is a busy guy. No wonder he's a little tired. Styles tweeted that he was "falling asleep" during the Grammy concert.

No big whoop, except for the fact that his special lady Taylor Swift was co-hosting the concert. Harry and Taylor (known now as "Haylor" — please make a note) have gone public with their PDA, which makes Styles's declaration that he was hitting the hay while his special lady was trying to entertain millions of viewers rather shocking. And hilarious.

Styles's sleepy-time announcement was re-tweeted more than 15,000 times almost instantly. We're betting Swift wasn't one of 'em.

The 40th annual AMAs ceremony, airing Sunday night, November 18, on ABC, promises to be a star-studded and surprised-filled affair, with live performances by pretty much everyone who's anyone in pop: Justin Bieber, Kelly Clarkson, Carly Rae Jepsen, PSY, the Wanted, Ke$ha, No Doubt, Usher, Carrie Underwood, Pink, Pitbull, Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj, and Linkin Park. There will also be a special tribute, led by the legendary Stevie Wonder, to recently departed AMAs' founder Dick Clark, which is sure to leave not a dry eye in the house. It's going to be a memorable night!

That honor went to British sensations and "X Factor U.K" stars One Direction, who picked up three moonmen for "What Makes You Beautiful." (They actually broke one of their moonmen during an acceptance speech, but luckily, they had a couple backup trophies.) M.I.A., who was, ironically, M.I.A. at the show, won two awards, as did Rihanna's ex Chris Brown, who was on hand to accept his Best Male Video trophy in person.

When asked what section of the record store her music should be filed, Jess Klein enthusiastically declares, "rock!"

And while that's mostly the right answer, Klein over the course of her career has dabbled in — or been influenced by — the folk, soul, pop, blues and country worlds, as well. That remains true in her latest effort, the self-released "Behind a Veil" (released in April), which also features a dose of Americana.

And through the various styles, her emotive voice seamlessly and engagingly flows from strong and assertive to vulnerable, from folksy to soulful to rocking.

The album begins with a passionate, energetic title track exploring a journey to discovery, whether it be positive or negative, to find truth and, as Klein sings it, beauty.

So it looks like this year's VMAs might be a win-win situation for RiRi.

Allan Pineda Lindo Jr., better known as Apl.de.ap of the Grammy-winning group The Black Eyed Peas, conceptualized this historic event as part of radio station KCRW's World Festival series to highlight the music of Filipino culture. Hosted by KCRW DJ Anthony Valadez and co-hosted by actors Vanessa Hudgens, Lou Diamond Phillps and comedian Jo Koy, the concert showcased the contributions of Filipinos to the American pop culture and music landscape.
