Chris Brown Crashes Car, Blames Paparazzi, One Day Before Grammys

It's not an easy week to be Chris Brown, to say the least. The singer-rapper had a particularly nasty Saturday, when he crashed his car in Los Angeles one day before the 2013 Grammy Awards ceremony.

Brown was reportedly driving around Beverly Hills on his way to a charity event when he was cut off due to an aggressive approach by two vehicles--apparently paparazzi--who caused him to lose control of his black Porsche and slam it into a wall.

Nobody was hurt, but Brown's car was reportedly totaled and he requested it be towed off site. Local police are still investigating the incident.

The entire week has been difficult for Brown, as the 23-year-old has already appeared in court Wednesday facing allegations that he has violated his probation issued over his 2009 felony assault of girlfriend and fellow R&B superstar Rihanna. Additionally, the court examined whether he'd completed his appointed community labor as a result of the same charge.

Rihanna, who has apparently reunited with Brown and says she forgives him, was present at the hearing and left with him following the procedures.

Saturday's incident, of course, mirrors the 2009 Grammys, when Brown was scheduled to perform but pulled out due to the immediate controversy of assault against Rihanna. Brown is up for a Grammy on Sunday evening in the Urban Contemporary Album category; there is no word that he will not appear at the show.
