Framed

Colbie Caillat, Framed

Cute-as-a-button Colbie Caillat is a new kind of rising music star--she really made her name on the internet, especially through Myspace. Unsigned by any record label for months, her Myspace page generated millions of plays as, through word-of-mouth, she became a huge internet favorite. And when her debut album, Coco, was released, it hit #5 on the Billboard charts in its first week. It's quite a story.

Our featured video this week, then, is "Bubbly," one of the hottest songs off Coco. We predict it'll end up in a TV ad any minute now--seriously, the song is an Ambien commercial just waiting to happen--but the video itself does a great job of featuring Colbie's sunny, girl-next-door disposition and easygoing musical charm.

If our captions this week seem strange and dissonant to Colbie's myriad fans, please remember that Framed is a blog meant to inform and entertain, and also that we're pretty drunk right now.

OK?  Ladies and gentlemen, Colbie Caillat!

1 - Come on in, readers... there's always time for Framed

2 - "So if I married Chuck E. Cheese, it'd be funny why?"

3 - Having killed and eaten her, Colbie was now ready to actually become Jennifer Aniston!

4 - Few hobbies are as relaxing and just plain fun as hunting endangered rhinos in the Serengeti.

5 - As suspected, Colbie is out standing in her field!

6 - "And if you don't become my Myspace friend, I am authorized to kill you."

7 - Colbie's secret trysts with Anderson Cooper have scandalized the news, easy listening music communities.

8 - Knowing of Colbie's hobby, Buttermilk looks on warily!

9 - Our new feature, "How They'd Look Without Eyes," is sure to vex and confound rival video analysts!

10 - Framed Food For Thought:  Should our musicians really be this happy when we have troops in harm's way? Discuss.

11 - Colbie's annual Myspace beach party generally attracts, oh, everyone on Earth.

12 - "Oh, come on... just pledge eternal fealty to Satan.  I did!"
