Death Cab For Cutie, Framed

Hello, readers, and welcome to Framed, the blog that's sort of like the other blogs, but not really. This week we welcome Death Cab For Cutie, the superb indie band out of beautiful Bellingham, Washington, to our space on the "net."

Death Cab, who took their name from a 1967 song by the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band, are bringing "I Will Possess Your Heart," a tune from their #1 album of last year, Narrow Stairs. The video, which shows the band playing in some sort of freezer, as well as a mopey girl traveling around the world by herself, makes absolutely no sense in any context whatsoever. Fortunately, Framed is here to provide context with our trademarked, professionally-written captions, so no worries!

Please let us know how you feel about the band, the song, the video, and the captions! And please join us in this space again next week when we tackle another great music video, write a bunch of really funny captions, and, in general, make you feel good!

1 -- "I'm not sure I'm entirely comfortable hearing the pilot talk about the president's 'betrayal of his Islamic roots.'"

2 -- For obvious reasons, everyone "got off" at Lower Regent Street!

3 -- "Where the heck is that death cab I called for?"

4 -- "I wonder if lighting a candle in honor of pepperoni is, in some way, sacrilegious."

5 -- "Jihad is for boys. I get it."

6-- "An eight-letter word for pachyderm? Damn, the Sunday crossword puzzle is the hardest!"

7 -- Hooray! Objects in your rearview mirror are now actually closer and farther than they actually appear!

8 -- "Hell. On paper, this Fortress of Solitude gig looked good!"

9 -- "Two Mogwais, please, and several liters of water."

10 -- "Well, I guess it's a pretty good wall."

11 -- "Ha! Hate-filled, caption-writing blogs will now need night vision technology to mess with Death Cab!"

12 -- "Thank God we finally melted those useless damn polar ice caps. Humanity has won!"
