Framed

PSY, Framed

Let's talk about K-Pop.  Let's talk about PSY.  Let's talk about the most views in history.

Yes, readers, it's come to this. Framed, everyone's favorite misanthropic blog, is now kowtowing to popular opinion!

What a twist!  What irony!

But we have to admit that even we're sort of wowed at PSY's massive viral success.  His "Gangnam Style" -- this week's video, in case you were wondering -- was released in July and has been viewed over 414 million times on YouTube, and is the site's most watched K-pop video.  It's also the most "liked" video in the history of YouTube.  It's also #2 in America as of this writing.

PSY, whose real name is Park Jae-sang, is a comical rapper whose song about the Gangnam District in Seoul simply exploded, capturing the interest of everyone from T-Pain to Tom Cruise, who've shared it on the internet.

The Gangnam District is a sort of hoity-toity part of Seoul.  The kind of place where they look down on you, readers!  PSY isn't having any of it, though: he mocks the elite with his "invisible horse dance" and a variety of spastic moves that have proven irresistible to humans everywhere!

In fact, the video is so excellent that it's spawned a zillion parodies, some of them quite good.  You've no doubt seen them.  Now let's enjoy the original again, only this time with captions!

Oppan Framed, Gangnam style!

1 -- "Buy powerful detergent for a superior cleaning reaction!" is a strong message in any language!

2--  Giant Table Tennis Girl has dispatched all her foes with the greatest of ease!  Run, Regular-Sized Table Tennis Girl!

3 -- Even after PSY was poisoned and died, he was great!  Because!

4 -- "If Ann Coulter is hiding here,  I would never know.  It's deucedly clever!"

5 --  " Thumpetty thump thump, thumpetty thump thump,  look at Frosty go!"

6 -- PSY is "that way!"

7PSY10-16-12

7 --  "Surrender my tutu?  I think not!"

8 -- "Where the heck is Flame-O?  Why are all the made-up characters so elusive?"

9 -- "And they told me Gummo would be here, too!  Where is the famous Sentient Bubble, and why does he fear me so?"

10 --  Hey!  A quite inappropriate caption could be written here, were one were of a mind!

11 -- After this refreshing swim in the Yangtze, PSY would travel back in time to take on Mao!  Asia's crazy!

12 --  "Dude, I'm making a video here!  And it's high in fiber!"
