Framed

The Rolling Stones, Framed

thumbrollingstones12-4-12Holy smokes! Everybody's talking about the Rolling Stones lately, as they should... the band celebrated its 50th anniversary last week in London, and will be playing three shows in the New York area later this month.

What the heck, let's read Y! Music's take on the first show.

Naturally, Framed couldn't be left out of an event of this magnitude, and we were very happy when Sir Mick Jagger cordially invited us to write captions for their great new video, "Doom and Gloom." As our schedule is quite full, we asked Sir Mick if we could just do the 2062 festivities instead, but he insisted!

Well, what are you going to do? The guy's a duke or a knight or something! Plus, the song is very Stoneish. It sounds a bit like "Jumping Jack Flash" to us at Framed.

We hope you, Sir Mick, the Stones, and all their fans enjoy this week's captions. Please leave your comments below, where they'll be discussed well into Wednesday, and we'll see you next week!

1 -- "Next I'll write a book about the excess of books about the excesses of rock. That'll show 'em!"

2 -- "It seems like rock 'n' roll. Yet I feel ambivalent about it."

3 -- Oh, it's always a party on flight number 506. That's a good flight.

4 -- Argent, Blunstone, and the others went on to become critically respected!

5 -- After all these years, Charlie is most proud of his role as TV's "Marcus Welby, M.D."

6 -- Mick's so old he remembers the Dave Clark Ten!

7 -- AKA, tickets!

8 -- "...ly schooled in cursive and am therefore printing this sign. But I've got plenty of money. Lots!"

9 -- WTF? There's a Middle Finger Girl, too?

10 -- Keith's so old he remembers the British Invasion! Of Maryland, in 1812!

11 -- "OK, men, let's continue drilling for oil. But, this time, 'safely.' You saw the quotation marks, right?"

12 -- Is it?... can it be?... Zippo, The Sentient Lighter?
