We've got good news and bad news for you, readers. The good news is that this week's Framed is as good as any we've ever written. No doubt about it!
And the bad news? That's a pretty low bar!
Ha ha ha. We like to kid ourselves! Seriously, though, this week we welcome the great Black Eyed Peas to Framed for the very first time! Welcome, Peas!
Coming out of L.A., like absolutely everything that's good in our country, the eclectic Peas have sold over 47 million records and won six Grammys. They once performed in front of over a million people at a concert in Brazil, and they're slated to perform at halftime in this year's Ravens-Bears Super Bowl game.
Our video is "The Time," the first single off their astonishing new album, The Beginning. Like us, you're sure to find it vastly entertaining, so sit a spell!
Important blog note! Well, we certainly got some interesting comments about last week's Katy Perry installment. In addition to the posts of our usual distinguished panel, who weighed in with many valuable observations, we also saw posts from what appear to be relatively newer readers.
We welcome them all! Framed is nothing if not a big tent, so let's reprise a few of their best observations: "I don't get it," said one Yahoo! Music User who we certainly hope isn't good ol' Yahoo! Music User. "I don't think it is meant to be taken as serious. If it is, then I don't get it either," added another YMU. To which another YMU said: "There is nothing to get because it is merely someone's lame attempt at being funny at someone else's expense." Later, yet another YMU wisely said, "The captions don't seem to have anything to do with the song or video at all."
Let's give Tanae the final word, though: "who would really take the time out to do this?? I thot sumone found like messages in the fireworks but wut this guy wasnt even funny at all. so im definitely in agreement with anyone who says that this needs to get a life or at least sum kind of hobby cuz this isnt working for him."
Yep, those are our readers. Keep posting, everyone!
