Framed

The Black Keys, Framed

Few bands have been bringin' it lately like the Black Keys, the bluesy rock duo from Ohio who took home three Grammys a few weeks back. And the Keys - vocalist/guitarist Dan Auerbach and drummer/producer Patrick Carney - have been making some damn funny videos for their latest album, Brothers.

Last year's "Tighten Up" was quite good, but their latest, "Howlin' For You," is really exceptional. Instead of a video for a song, it's a trailer for a movie... a B-movie that features hot babes, stunning clichés, and stars on the level of skateboarder Shaun White and the great Todd Bridges of Different Strokes, identified here as Sir Todd Bridges.

So give it up, if you will, for the Black Keys, our captions, and everything else that makes life worth living. Ladies and gentlemen, Las Teglas de Negro!

1 - "As always, my hopes and dreams return to ballet."

2 - "Your attack on Smallville is finished, Tiny Godzilla."

3 - "That was amazing! Who'd've thought we could stucco the ceiling so professionally?"

4 - "Um, Satan, the 'no pants' thing is pretty much just for the music editor."

5 - "You mean you took Cialis after using nitrates for chest pain? You fool!"

6 - "Am I into a little girl-girl action? This is Framed, isn't it?"

7 - As feared, the long-term contract with El Pollo Loco left little room for artistic growth.

8 - "Oh, hi, mom. Yep, still in the indie band. Nope, no money yet."

9 - "Here's partially looking at you, kid."

10 - Hey! Isn't that the "Please introduce me to the blogger" gesture? It is!

11 - "Am I sure it's arthritis? Is that what you asked?"

12 - "...and, sadly, he was destined to never learn what Willis was talkin' 'bout."
