R&B singer and reality star Ray J, 31, has always denied any romantic link to Whitney Houston, the superstar pop singer who was found dead Saturday in her room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. She was 48, 17 years his senior.

There is no denying the two had a special bond.

Bobby Brown, ex-husband of Whitney Houston, grieved publicly over Houston's death during a concert in Mississippi Saturday, according to reports.

Houston was found dead in her hotel room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel Saturday afternoon.

Rap superstar 50 Cent feels confident his home state team the New York Giants will beat the New England Patriots at the Super Bowl Sunday, and he's willing to bet on it.

In an exclusive Yahoo! interview, the artist born Curtis Jackson explained why he responded to a wager proposed by another hip-hop star, Cash Money Records co-founder Bryan "Baby" Williams.

Ne-Yo at Bud Light Hotel.Ne-Yo's regular background dancers had the night off Saturday when the R&B singer and songwriter played a midnight show at the Playboy Presents Carnival Mystique Super Bowl pre-game party.

But he apparently didn't mind. The Bud Light Hotel venue go-go dancers sufficed. Plus, Playboy Bunnies joined him on stage between songs to kiss him and wipe off his sweat.

"I think I'm going to have to call [Hugh Hefner] and see if a couple can come with me," he joked. "My life sucks."

Snoop DoggThe rap charts might be dominated by artists under the age of 30, but elder statesmen Snoop Dogg doesn't have any problem embracing being a member of the genre's 40 and over club.

The "Drop It Like It's Hot" rapper revealed a small gray patch of hair just above his forehead Friday when he took the stage at 1:47 a.m. as the surprise guest at the EA Sports Madden Bowl at the Bud Light Hotel in Indianapolis.

Before closing his set, he thanked the audience for embracing him over the years. "My thing is, the older I get, the younger I feel," he said. "Right now, I feel young, wild, and free."

As a 1970s and 1980s kid who loved music, I was a big fan of pre-MTV dance shows "American Bandstand," "Dance Fever," and "Solid Gold." But I was addicted to "Soul Train."

Wednesday's news of the tragic passing of "Soul Train" creator and original host Don Cornelius, who was only 75, hits me like a sucker punch.

It never bothered me when performers lip synced their songs. I was more intrigued to see the faces behind the music that I listened to on the radio and on my parents's collection of hundreds of soul albums that lined the coffee table our record player sat upon in our den.

Unlike rappers today, the R&B singers of the 1970s wore ornate costumes. I remember being glued to the TV just soaking up colorful images of Grace Jones, Patti LaBelle and the Bluebelles, Stevie Wonder, and Earth, Wind & Fire, and more when they visited.
