  • Tyga with son King Cairo Stevenson (photo: Instagram)When Tyga was a teenager, he vowed to be a better father to his unborn children than his absentee father was to him.

The Compton rapper on Lil Wayne’s Young Money, Cash Money label penned his frustrations about the impact of his dad not being in his life in his 2009 song, “Dad’s Letter,” from his “The Potential” mixtape.

The song had new meaning to the hip hop artist last October when he celebrated the birth of King Cairo Stevenson, his son with his girlfriend Blac Chyna. He includes the track on his most recent album, “Hotel California.”

On the autobiographical song, Tyga raps about his youth, mainly getting into trouble and questioning the whereabouts of his father.

He raps about smoking cigarettes as a kid, buying a Ford Escort with a friend when he was 14, ditching school, and getting kicked out of the house when he was in the 10th grade.

Had his father been around, Tyga thinks he may have pursued a different route. “Kinda just wished you taught me how to be a man,” he raps.

Natalie Cole has every right to be upset with Thursday’s finale episode of “American Idol.”

During the broadcast, Jennifer Hudson performed Cole’s staple hit “Inseparable” with Season 12 winner Candice Glover.

Cole, who won the 1975 best new artist of the year Grammy award, complained via Twitter at 8:30 p.m. PT Thursday. “Make no mistake. ‘Inseparable’ was NOT originally recorded by @IAMJHUD but by ME,” she wrote.

Cole slammed the singing competition for the decision. “@AmericanIdol ought to be ashamed of themselves!Im seriously offended! # #Idol #idolfinale,” Cole wrote in a Tweet that she has since deleted.

  • (Kevin Mazur, WireImage)Kelly Rowland has confirmed what many Destiny’s Child fans suspected for years - it’s not easy living in Beyoncé’s shadow.

On her new song “Dirty Laundry,” Rowland opens up about being jealous of Beyoncé’s success.

“While my sister was on stage, killing it like a mother-cker, I was enraged, feeling it like a mother-cker,” she sings. “Bittersweet, she was up, I was down. No lie, I feel good for her, but what do I do now?”

According to Billboard magazine, Rowland is referring to a period after the release of her 2002 solo debut “Simply Deep.” Beyoncé released her first solo album, “Dangerously in Love,” in May 2003.

Aside from Beyoncé being the front woman of Destiny’s Child, her solo career immediately took off with a No. 1 album and single as Rowland’s records only found moderate success.

To make matters worse for Rowland, as things were going well for Beyoncé she was having personal problems.

  • MTV Güik VJ Diego Alfaro made and posted a missing person's poster on the 777 Tour plane.I enjoyed watching Rihanna’s 777 Tour documentary on Fox Monday. But it could not have been an easy feat cramming footage from her travels to seven countries in seven days with 250 passengers into a one hour special.

[Related: My 777 Tour Flickr gallery]

It’s not surprising that 777 Tour alumni like myself would have their own list of moments that were not captured in the film.

Below, I’ve compiled five of my 777 Tour highlights that were not chronicled in the movie:

    1) “Don’t Stop The Music” - When they played Rihanna’s “Unapologetic” over the intercom system, Janise Williams and her male buddy did what any diehard RiRi fans would do. They got up out of their seats and turned the left aisle near the emergency exit into a nightclub. When “Jump,” which samples Ginuwine’s “Pony,” and “Nobody’s Business,” her Michael Jackson-esque Chris Brown duet, came on, I was seriously tempted to do my two-step down the Soul Plane, Soul Train line.
