MursWest Coast vet Murs is known for more than just spitting random freestyles. There are actual messages behind his songs.

The inspirations for latest album, "Love & Rockets Vol 1 The Transformation," run so deep that he decided to discuss them in a book, "The Making Of 'Love & Rockets Vol 1 The Transformation."

During a recent stop at the Yahoo!, the founder of the Paid Dues festival explained his motivations for "The Making Of …," a title he co-authored with The Aftermath's co-host Soren Baker. During our sit down, Murs offered background stories on "Love & Rockets" entries, "67 Cutlass," "Eazy-E," "Animal Style," and "Reach Hire."

Murs also talked about working with Ski Beatz, who produced the entire album.
