(Jason LaVeris/ FilmMagic)Diddy is truly a marketing genius. More than 10 years after the Harlem Shake dance premiered in a music video from an artist on his Bad Boy label, the dance re-emerges in a new form.

These days, up-and-coming producer Baauer is getting all the credit for the craze. His EDM song “Harlem Shake” broke a record this week, debuting at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.

Though the song was released last May, the recent popularity of the dance is fueled by a parody video featuring comedian Filthy Frank doing his impression. Frank’s Feb. 2 video sparked tons of copycats and millions of plays.

TLC member T-Boz said the group planned to capitalize on the forthcoming VH1 documentary, Crazy, Sexy, Cool: The TLC Story, by releasing new music and embarking on a tour.

VH1 announced Tuesday that Joyful Noise actress and singer KeKe Palmer has been cast to portray TLC member Rozanda “Chilli” Thomas. Rapper and “America’s Best Dance Crew” judge Lil Mama and Step Up actress Drew Sidora were previously reported to play late group member Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes and T-Boz, respectively.

The “I’m Different” rapper was en route to a performance at the University Of Maryland Eastern Shore when he was pulled over at 9:15 p.m. for speeding.

Sgt. Black said 2 Chainz, born Tauheed Epps, was stopped on Route 50 on Rabbit Hill Road in Talbot. “A trooper observed [the vehicle driving] over 79 miles per hour and a traffic stop was conducted,” he said. “A strong odor of burned marijuana was emanating from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was [conducted]. Probable cause was conducted and it was found that Mr. Epps had paraphernalia on him with trace amount of marijuana.”
