Kirk Franklin assembled 150 gospel artists to record atribute song and video for Haitiearthquake victims. The video for the song "Are You Listening: A Love Song ForHaiti" recently premiered on the Gospel Music Channel.

BeBe and CeCe Winans, Yolanda Adams, Shirley Caesar, MaryMary, Donnie McClurkin, Smokie Norful, and Marvin Sapp are among the genre'sbiggest names who volunteered their services for the effort.

Franklinwas moved to record the song after watching the country's devastation on CNN onWednesday, January 13, the night after the earthquake.

Franklin was in Nashville for the StellarAwards taping that weekend. When attending an already scheduled prayer eventthe following night, Franklinshared his desire to unite the gospel community to record the song.

"We see these people as God's children," Franklin said at the prayer service. "We wantto do our part, and I just want people to know that the gospel community canrespond to a powerful natural disaster."

The militaristic feel of Sade's comeback video "Soldier of Love" for a moment made me think of service men, tanks and guns in Rihanna's "Hard" video.

I dismissed the comparison within seconds as I took in Sade's comforting voice, the humming strings, and the video's sharp imagery. The yellow and red hue overcasts might signal a dark message had it been coming from someone else, but like the way a friend or relative with a peaceful presence exudes something good, Sade lends hope for those in relationship despair.

Michael Jackson loved working with other artists. He andLionel Richie wrote and performed "We Are The World,"  the song that brought together dozens of artistsand raised millions to fight famine in Africa.

Two decades after Kendall, Florida duo L'Trimm scored a top40 rap hit with "Cars That Go Boom," their sound is revived.

Ke$ha, a new pop starlet, who sang the chorus for Flo Rida's"Right Round," takes on L'Trimm's vocal styling for her own hit, "Tik Tok."The song broke a record last week, selling 610,000 downloads. It is the highest weekly download sales for a female artist.

Ke$ha can also take some credit for the download that holds the overall weekly sales record. In February, her Flo Rida collaboration set a weekly record, selling 636,000 copies.

Last Wednesday, "Tik Tok" also enjoyed its second week at the No. 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The L'Trimm influence on the song is obvious as Ke$ha borrows Lady Tigraand Bunny D's slurred cadence and airy persona.
