  • I should have known that reports about Kanye Westproclaiming to be the new King of Pop were false.

In one sense, I wished the stories were true. When Iheard the details in a morning show entertainment wrap up, I immediately beganwriting the blog in my head. I called Kanye out of line, disrespectful to the Jackson legacy, and unqualifiedfor the King of Pop title.

But when I started researching the subject, it quickly became clear that it was a joke.

Kanye was accused of saying, "You know everyone loves andrespects Michael, but times change. It's so sad to see Michael gone, but itmakes a path for a new King of Pop, and I'm willing to take that on."

Kanye has said that he wanted to be like Elvis, so thesestatements were believable. "First there was Elvis, then there was Michael,"the fake quote continued. "Now in the 21st century it's Kanye's timeto rule. I have nothing but respect for Michael, but someone needs to pick upwhere he left off, and there's nobody better than me to do that."

"More Than A Game" tells the story of LeBron and four of histeammates from his Ohiohigh school basketball team. It follows the Cleveland Cavilers small forward throughouthis pursuit of his NBA career. The movie is scheduled for an October 2 release.

Written by Chris Brown, "Stronger" lyrics celebrate triumphand thank a partner for unyielding support through trials. It is unclearwhether Chris wrote the song about enduring the scrutiny of his Rihanna assaultor if the song was written after the incident.

However, the record is good enough to begin shifting thepublic's attention back to Chris' music and could earn Mary and Chris a top 10hit.

  • Choreographed dance has long been commonplace at weddings. I can't think of a wedding I've been to in the last 20 years that didn't have an obligatory run of the Electric Slide or the Soul Train Line. But this usually happens at the reception.

The newly wed Kevin and Jill Heinz are on their way to viral video superstardom, inspired by Chris Brown's hit "Forever" to rewrite the rules of the wedding processional. The couple who were married in what appears to be a traditional church in Saint Paul, Minnesota used Chris' disco pop song for the entrance of the bridal party. The bride even shunned the "Bridal Chorus (Here Comes The Bride)" to bounce down aisle to the Chris' hip-hop track.

It reminds of me the Jazz & Jewel wedding episode of the Fresh Prince Of Bel Air. They skipped in to the Floaters' "Float On." The Heinz' nuptials features the shocked, but participatory onlookers, rhythm deficient male dancers and a bride and groom who clearly could not be more suited for each other.
