Drumma Boy On New Mixtape, Hip Hop Honors Overlooking Memphis & Classical Music

Drumma BoyMemphis producer Drumma Boy has one of the most enviable discographies in hip-hop. His credits include the likes of Kanye West, Chris Brown, and T.I., not to mention legendary acts from his home state, Eightball & MJG, Three 6 Mafia, Gangsta Boo and Young Buck.

During a stop by the Yahoo! offices this week, Drumma hung out with me and Soren Baker, hosts of Yahoo! Music's The Aftermath, and offered updates on his new mixtape, "Drum Squad Presents Welcome To My City 2," his efforts to unify Memphis acts, and the disappointment he felt when the Hip Hop Honors omitted the his town from their celebration of the south in 2010.
