Eric Benet Glad To Have Final Say With Own Label

Eric Benét just released his new album, "The One." A lot of things have changed since he dropped 2010's "Lost In Time." Last June he married Manuela Testolini. In December, they had their first child together, daughter Lucia Bella. And he kicked off the New Year with his own record label, Jordan House, which is distributed by EMI Records.

In part-one of his three-part interview with Yahoo! Music, Benét said having his own label was a dream come true. He explained how the Negro spiritual "Swing Low Sweet Chariot" and Paul McCartney inspired his song "Harriet Jones." He also revealed why he has a lot of respect for rappers with a particular skill set.
