Ester Dean Says R. Kelly’s ’12 Play’ Inspired ‘Baby Making Love’ Video

Ester Dean, who has written hits for Rihanna, Katy Perry and Usher, is on track to impact the charts with her own music. Last week, Dean released the video for her throwback ballad, "Baby Making Love."

The music video is reminiscent of 1990s clips from R. Kelly, SWV and Janet Jackson. "'Baby Making Love' is for the winter time love making," Dean told Hip Hop Media Training. "I'm thinking a lot of babies will come from this song, bringing that R. Kelly '12 Play' effect."

The Interscope Recording artist, who co-starred in the Universal Pictures' comedy "Pitch Perfect," will also be releasing a video for her party track "Bam Bam." Her debut EP is due later this year.
