Former Pussycat Dolls Member Melody Thornton On Going Solo

Some assumed that Pussycat Dolls frontwoman Nicole Scherzinger was the only member in the group who could actually sing. Though Melody Thornton had select opportunities to showcase her vocal talent on songs like "Buttons," fans didn't get a real dose of singing abilities until earlier this year when she released her mixtape, POYBL.

During an interview with Yahoo! Music's The Aftermath, the best music discussion on the 'Net, Thornton addresses the question of why she was never given an opportunity to take on a lead, and talks her rich music knowledge and songs on her critically acclaimed release that includes a remake of "Sista" from The Color Purple and Watch The Throne's "No Church For The Wild" (titled "Lipstick&Guilt").
