Janet Cleared Of Slapping Paris, Lol

Janet and Paris at Michael's memorial.TMZ's headline "Janet Jackson Did Not Slap or Verbally Abuse Paris Jackson" is arguably the best article title ever.

While I didn't think a confrontation between an aunt and niece was anything out of the ordinary, I didn't want to believe last week's reports that things between Janet and Paris got that out of control.

But the correction is a good thing.

These days, no one apologizes for false reports based on information from sometimes questionable unnamed sources. So it's even surprising to see a leading gossip site publish a retraction with a photo that spans the column's width.

Retractions are generally a couple sentences at the bottom of the page. Looks like Janet has a good attorney. Good for her.
