Kidz In The Hall Remake ’80s Hip-Hop Classic For Reebok

Advertisers have been getting clever in coming up with ways to promote their products.

Props to Reebok for its new campaign for its Reebok ClassicRemix Collection. This line includes updated versions of the some of thebrand's old school styles.

To make the project compelling, Reebok enlisted credibleemerging hip-hop groups to make music videos about the shoes.

Since Reebok is revitalizing old kicks, they've asked theendorsed artists to remix a hip-hop classic.

My boys from Kidz In The Hall are first up with "I Got ItMade (09)," a remake of Special's Ed's 1989 anthem.

I was expecting the Kidz' version to be a straight sample ofthe original, but instead, the Kidz have come up with a completely new trackthat incorporates a piece of the memorable humming bass line.

I can't say that the Kidz' smoothed out version is betterthan Special Ed's Howie T's produced banger, but it's good. It's got me pumped.I also think it would have been nice to have Special Ed make a cameo in thevideo.

Kid Sister and B.o.B., now known as Bobby Ray, are also ondeck to remake songs for this promotion. I need to know what songs they will beremaking, but they are keeping it under wraps for now. Still, this is dope.

Check out Kidz version as well as Special Ed's renditionfrom his album, Youngest In Charge, released when he was 16.
