Nicki Minaj gave Taylor Swift part of the credit for the success of her top 10 hit "Super Bass" Sunday night when she accepted the Best Rap/Hip-Hop Artist award on the American Music Awards.

Apparently, Nicki, the night's show opener, was making a nod to Taylor's early support of the song. Last February, Taylor promoted "Super Bass" when she visited Nashville radio station 107.5 The River and was asked to make a song request.

"This is an album cut off of Nicki Minaj's album and I've been listening to it on repeat," Taylor said before she was coaxed into rapping part of the song a capella. The video footage of Taylor's impromptu performance quickly went viral. By May, "Super Bass" was released as Nicki's new single. In August, Taylor invited Nicki to perform "Super Bass" on stage during her Fearless tour stop in Los Angeles.

The Nicki-Taylor love continued later in the AMAs night when Taylor presented Nicki with the Best Rap/Hip-Hop Album award for "Pink Friday."

Sounds like it's time for these two ladies to make a song together.
